I cancel my comp queue then come back from the restroom suspended. There was no load screen there was no indicator that I can found a match before I had cancelled the queue. Can this please be fixed. I lost a ton of SR on something I had no control over. The cancel queue button disappears when you go to enter a match anyways, so how did i get a match while i went to the restroom and match finder was cancelled. I am not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but it is ridiculous.

When you cancel a competitive queue, please stay at your computer for 10 seconds before going AFK. What happened is that when attempted to cancel the server paired you into a match before it received the signal to remove you from the queue, while this is a matter of milliseconds, it still takes as much as 10 seconds from when you are confirmed for a match for the game to actually load.
As such this is not a bug, but a bit of a flaw in function. I maintain a topic here where I have proposed an idea to prevent this specific problem from happening again. I encourage you to check it out:

I had same problem today. I cancel queue in main many when it was searching game. I lost 50SR and its not fair. Is there anything to get those points back?
I sent a ticket to support. They stated that there is no way they can give back the 50SR and that it is a known problem but they do not know what the development team’s status is on this issue.

Unfortunately, when it comes to the SR I am not able to restore what was lost no matter the reason it was lost. This is a decision that was made by Development and there is no way going around that. I do recommend you keep up with the forums as well as posting any suggestions on how to help with this. I know its something that you don’t want to have to deal with, I’ve had it happen myself and it gets annoying to say the least. I do know they are working on better methods but what and when those will release I do not know. I do hope your further game play does not see any more of this issue.

I had the same issue just now. I cancelled comp que but still got suspended. It counted a placement match as lost. This really sucks. Please fix this!!

Even though Blizzard tells people to post in existing threads on an issue they likely mainly refer to active threads. It is almost never advised to necrobump an inactive thread from more than a year ago.
That being said, there are several bugs listed regarding Competitive Queue so there’s no harm in it. “Necrobumping” may also assist developers in reminding that a major bug that has long-existed does still, in fact, exist.
