My point was, that what you wrote in regards to other backlashes, is that modern gamers will do exactly that. They’ll whine and moan about it, then roll over and accept it and keep playing. Not everyone but far too many will and far too many have been doing it for the past two decades, which is why these big companies think they can get away with anything they do.
I agree. I just don’t think the cutoff is 2 decades. I think the cutoff is whenever brand loyalty became a thing. Be it Coke vs Pepsi or Apple vs Microsoft.
Overwatch is on the same steady decline that Halo and Battlefield were on before they finally hit rock bottom. It’s coming.
