Yes, you can since they don’t actually verify any reports and the system is 100% automated.
You get a blanket amount of reports you’re allowed to receive against you before you’re auto-suspended… If you get reported, you are now X-1 reports left until you’re suspended.
Do with this information what you will (abuse it or ignore it)
but if it is for hacking and I actually never used a third party program, how fair is it ? the support wont unban if I ever get ban I bet because of the reason
Cheating is not handled in an automated manner. Some reports like toxicity might be, but cheating reports are, to our knowledge, referred on to humans who then check match files for evidence of cheating.
File a ticket with them if you feel unfairly suspended! - They’ll promptly copy paste the exact same blanket response they probably have saved on an internal wiki for every person!
Something along the lines of:
"Hey (Insert name here),
We investigated your appeal (protip: they didn’t), and unfortunately we are going to uphold the suspension!
Please don’t re-open a ticket again because we don’t care"
Unless they have hard evidence on you (such as 180 dash macro, or detect a cheat) you will most likely NOT get banned. And if somehow you do, you can appeal.
I can’t remember the post but a few months back someone posted the email exchange they had with Blizzard on the cheating for something; the Bliz rep broke down the cheating review process, which involves a human evaluating the game files and match footage.
Things like gameplay sabotage and toxicity absolutely can get you preemptively suspended but you can undergo the review process for that and is not handled the same way cheating reports are.
When it comes to reports such as abusive chat or game sabotage (if you needed to talk to them about that) they’re definitely lacking. Hard. These are where a lot of false reports go through and get denied.
This has nothing do do with cheating, which is where the hard evidence comes in. I have yet to see someone ever banned for cheating who wasnt either a: using a macro or b: actually cheating.
They’re absolutely garbage with everything else, but the hack department (while slow, unreliable, etc) actually catch a cheater, it’s usually real.
