Can we revert the respawn timer bs already?

Got a team kill 10m out and they almost contested again coz they got a 5 second respawn for the full team. That is just busted.

I’m really not sure what you are talking about, that gives people that fast of spawns? Modes like push when the enemy gets to the checkpoint, everyone gets an instant respawn. Or clash last point when losing ticks people get to spawn.

The wave respawn system is not spawning whole teams in 5s.

You might be familiar with Wave Respawn systems in other games, but here’s exactly what’s different about respawning in Season 12 for Quick and Competitive Play:

  • Default respawn time increased from 10 to 12 seconds.
  • Overtime respawn time increased from 13 to 14 seconds.
    • Wave Respawn is disabled in Overtime.
    • Overtime respawn time is not increased in Flashpoint.
  • When the first hero on a team dies, they start a new Wave for their team.
    • Any hero that dies within 6 seconds of a wave starting joins that Wave.
    • A hero joining a Wave will respawn at the exact same time as the hero that started the Wave. This means that the respawn time of heroes joining the wave can be as long as 12 seconds if they died at the same time as the first hero or as short as 6 seconds if they just catch the end of the Wave.
  • If a hero starts a Wave and no other hero has joined the Wave when their respawn time reaches 6 seconds remaining, we subtract 2 seconds from their respawn time. This means that they respawn in 10 seconds (our default respawn time before Season 12).
  • Wave Respawn is also disabled when the Payload is near the end of the track in Escort and Hybrid (the same time our existing Anti-Stall system activates).

I think respawning is fine the way it’s working currently

How high are you on a scale from 1-10? 11?

Synchronized respawn has been in competitive for 2 seasons.

Never noticed when I was doing my drives lmao.

What part of this is it you do not understand? We team wiped them and they all respawned essentially with the first guy to die coming back in around 6 seconds together. Their monkey being 1 inch from touching and we would be fighting another 5v5 fight when we just won 10m from the end. Frankly if he played ball he prolly would have made it, or anyone else just tried to touch harder with sombra or tracer w/e. Fact is if one of them were close too an ult as well we might even have lost as we exhausted ours. Again since we were 10m from the goal winning would guarantee us the cap, or so we though, even if it technically did it was stupidly close.

having a team respawn together helps so much more with having a team stay organized and grouped to swing a fight back into their favor. I am sorry but trickling in every single player after they die never helps anyone so glad that they implemented it as it helps prevent one sided stomps asap. They still happen but its not as frequent anymore

Did you not read? It’s 12s for the first person. Best case is the last person to die waits 6s. And they certainly cannot spawn, leave spawn and make it to the point when you only had 10m to push. This just doesn’t add up at all.

Do you believe they all died at the same time? They came back in with full force and that is the problem.

Legit dunno if you are deliberately misunderstanding here or just seriously lacking understanding of the issue with a full team not getting staggered at all losing a fight.

You literally said the first guy came back 6s later. But I give up with you, your scenario is clearly wrong, and you cannot read how the wave respawn works.

So one person got the regular spawn and everyone else hit the sync of 6 seconds. I believe it was quite obvious. But whatever, cba with some troll playing dense. Now move along shu shu.

They already completed the map. We would have lost if they held. Very fair.
