Can we please unlock ashes scope animation from 60 FPS?

I still never understand this. I never get no regs on Ashe.

Her ADS is from CoD Black Ops designers. That’s why it feels different. Once you get used to it, it’s fine.

mee too :joy:

Kaplan said that the upcoming Overwatch patch will be fixing that by smoothing out the ADS, which should fix it for players sporting FPS counts higher than 60. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that it’ll come with the next patch, which is version 1.31, since it is already well into its PTR testing phase. - November 2018

Blizzard’s fixed the problem in a patch after the current PTR patch. Kaplan said the team is looking into “pulling the fix forward” but noted that it’s unlikely. It’s not the kind of fix that can be rushed. “It’s a lot of code and needs a fair amount of testing so we don’t want to rush it and risk breaking something else,” Kaplan said. - the next month

Kaplan said it’s not lag or frame loss. “The ADS still happens at the correct speed,”

  • Now reaches max zoom halfway through Ashe’s aim down sights, instead of at its conclusion

Using adobe, I recorded the animation at 300fps and slowed it down by the frame and did a simple eyeball of the footage. Found some old footage from 2018 and could definitely see it there.

regardless, it seems the fix was all ready patched into the game.

Took me all day, but that pretty much concludes the mystery for me.

I guess it wasn’t a very efficient fix.

Either way, I thank you for your time.

Whyd you delete half your replies dude? Did you realise that you were not understanding what was being explained in great detail to you?

I don’t think they mean your monitor/gpu’s fps. I think they mean the actual animation. Kind of like in some mmo’s you can have 100 + fps in the foreground but sometimes characters or actions or animations in the far background will be limited to 30 - 60 to save gpu and cpu stress.

So what if he did? These things happen.

I just find it funny that he aggressively claimed his fps wasn’t capped despite being told time ans time again that it was irrelevant and then suddenly half his replies are gone.
If he wasnt rude about it then it would be a different story.

I think the important part is he realized it. It’s come and gone and now he understands.

Why would they even cap it like that.

Um… wth?

I’m deleting my replies so I don’t get reported “trolling” or “abusive” language. I’ll be deleteing all post like this.

Regardless, I was right from the very beginning. Its like you guys completely ignored everything that happened in this thread…

Ohh so you got more agressive and later decided that it was not suitable?

And what exactly am I forgetting? You had the post explained to you multiple times, and multiple times you responded with the same answer.
And no, you weren’t right.
I would quote the evidence but you know… You deleted it.
What a joke.

How can anyone possibly notice anything above 60fps? Am I missing something? I can’t tell 60 from 200.

You need a monitor that actually displays above 60hz.

If you have a high-refresh rate display and get used to the smoothness of the high refresh rate, the difference is visible if you look for it, a kind of choppiness to the video.

Different people have different sensitivity to it. Almost everyone can tell the difference between old black and white 12-16 fps movies and modern 24fps movies, and a great many people can tell the difference between 24fps movies and 60fps videos.

I could not personally tell the difference between high refresh and 60fps until I actually got a high refresh monitor and got used to playing at 144fps. Now it’s pretty obvious.

First off I was only trying to help and completely misunderstood what op was trying to say.

I apologized after the first and only time that it was explained a little better by the op, who also said he could have explained it a little better.

As soon as I knew exactly what they were talking about, I agreed that it was a possibility that the animation was/used to be locked at 60 fps. i told the other guy to lay off the op, that he was just frustrated.

I said I was sorry and admitted that I misunderstood the op. like, thats is that.

I immediately moved on to save face and and protect my ego a little bit. That pushed me to really research the problem and find out if the animation is locked and how he might affect it.

I reported that my gpu analyzer doesn’t see new 60fps animations when i ads over and over again. Thats when the other guy says that there is no program that can do that (lol?). I tell him the program and mock him after he says his 4 year old knows more about something i dont remember than than me. I mean, thats pretty mean, so I shot back, you know protecting the ego and everything.

Whatever, I forget about the guy and dig deeper and found out that the fix was patched into the game a few months ago, explaining the “phantom frames” (extra animations added to ads, no 60 fps).

I posted the findings above and quotes from Kaplan himself.\

Op says thanks for the help.

Other guy says some aggressive/hurtful stuff. yeah I was wrong at first, but when my gpu didn’t pick up extra 60fps animations being rendered over and over, he mocked me.

This is the truth, the truest I could type it, and I hope thats good enough.

I mean, what do you want me to do? Get banned? report myself for being an a hole?

I AM SORRY
