They have a choice, they can just keep pretending the hero doesn’t even exist. Doesn’t seem like it’s too hard to forget about the hero with the most fundamentally flawed kit in the game

Sombra is pretty much meta right now, on certain maps together with Reaper.
I mean, mei was a must pick not that long ago. Some other heroes have been irrelevant for way longer than she has. Bastion might be OW’s most forgotten hero. The hero left in the F tier for 4 years, aside from the first like, week of season 4 before he was destroyed again. I don’t even know what blizzard can do to make him better.

Uppercut doesn’t benefit Doomfist as to be called a CC from his side.
Slam has no CC
Punch has a .2 second stun which is dependant of the distance to a wall.

It’s really not that hard fixing any of them…
Bastion- cut configurations casting time by 1/2 & let it have his passive while configuring as well.
Mei- reduce ammo consumption on her primary fire from 20 down to 15.
Brigitte- increase base hp from 150 up to 200 OR decrease 50 hp in exchange for 50 armor (100 hp,100 armor), reduce whip shot damage from 70 down to 50.
I mean, don’t get me wrong. It might solve Mei’s problems, but Bastion will still be bad because Orisa is F tier shield, and because Orisa is a synergy for most of Brigitte’s counters, Brigitte might be op again because no counter is played in the higher tiers.

lifts you up into the air a slight bit and restricts movement, that’s cc

Honestly I’ve been playing a little more Bastion in this recent patch. He works quite well as a flanker of all things, or an ambusher. You need to always be moving and repositioning as him, since he needs the element of surprise. Kind of like how a good Torb will move his turret once it’s got a couple of picks.

It doesn’t. Since a long time already it only lifts you up a bit but doesn’t cc you anymore.
quick example: Widow can still grapple during slam, Winston can still jump.
I wouldn’t expect you to know this anyway because you only have hatred for Doom and want to see the worst. gather some information next time.
As doom is. As almost 8 other heros are too and even worse than him.
If you mean being meta, so has Sombra, Brig, and Bastion for a brief spell. She was still clearly overnerfed, and more so than any other DPS (9 back to back nerfs).

Except this was in GM and the OWL only (besides, so was Brig…) Her ladder stats beneath GM actually left much to be desired. The reason is the same reason Sombra has never dominated every rank, they require a level of coordination not seen outside of the OWL and GM.

Sure I see this argument and I enjoy switching between Zen Lucio and Mercy but do we just say we let those other heros rot in trash tier?

Doomfist decides to attack someone and lifts him up into the air. Anything that influences the movement of the enemy is a cc…
Even junkrat’s primary fire is cc.
Just because doomfist has to move too (very surprising for a punch, ik…), doesn’t mean its cc. Because you cannot cc yourself. You decide your own movements. You control what your hero does.
Same with uppercut. It lifts up the enemy. The enemy does not want to jump. You make him lift up. cc
Stun + you greatly push away the enemy.
You cannot just throw definitions into the trashbin. .

F for bastion, would have killed low ranks so they never buffed him, instead rework so he rewards skill over siting in one spot the whole game. F for Mei, actually had people leave scrims because I was doing good as Mei. F for Brig, really good for 2 years, most likely going to be bad for a few more years. And just for us Genji mains. F for Genji, barley touched for 2 years, not bad not good, just kind of there. Then they buff him and he goes back to being mediocre within a month.
