I remebr getting and being stomped in ow1 the thing is ow2 is more in are mind os we make it seam worse then it is
Stomps in my ow1 memories happenned maybe 2 out of 5 games, but in ow2 is everytime.
See its about the same for me about ever 1/4 games on ow1 and ow2 are a stomp on either side and i have been playing some 6v6 custom games and i like 5v5 more then 6v6, 5v5 is more fluid and has less stand wait for your tanks to do somthing then you get to do somthing in 6v6

Not at all 6v6 literally had more depth. This is dumbed down overwatch with no strats just twitch reaction timing now
ya did it with some friends and lower tanks hp to ow1 numbers and it was not better or worse in the stomps category just feels like i have less agency in the fight as support or dps
Iâm not sure how you think most of OW1 was played but it was really only a small portion of the player base that actually utilized any kind of depth or strat.
Even for people who do utilize it it isnât that much different, youâre just looking through a magnifying glass.
You can look at owl tier players and maybe see a difference but it honestly hardly effects the rest of us

This applies to every single role and character. You can be a main or one-trick of any character and that character can be taken from you.

No its not the same if someone was playing the hero i wanted to play okay touch they picked it first but if someone picked a hero that was not the hero i wanted to play but i couldnât pick the hero i wanted to play as im leaving that game why should someone choice of a hero that is not the hero i want to play effect her picked a diffrent hero that dumb on so many level immagin support if you wanted to play zen but ow look you alreay have a single target healer so no zen for you you can play moira or bap have fun not being able to counter pick because someone else is playing a hero thats not the hero you want to switch to its never going to work and would make tank and even worse experience then it was in ow1
Everything that you just said is the exact same as someone on DPS taking Genji from a Genji one-trick. It just goes to show how childish of a player you are if youâve got the âI canât have what I want so Iâll leaveâ mentality. It also goes to show your inability as a player to flex if youâre incapable of playing one shield tank and one off-tank. You donât want 6v6 solely because of double shield, but when provided the perfect solution to double shield you say youâll start rage-quitting instantly if it were implemented because you donât know how to play more than one tank. People already rage-quit or throw over their one-tricks being taken, this would barely make a difference and would promote flexing.
5v5 is objectively an abomination in terms of balancing. Doom, Junker Queen and Ball would be so easily balanced in 6v6, but instead two of them are forced into being useless or God-tier overpowered and can literally never be balanced correctly in 5v5, and Queen can never be a viable solo tank because she provides zero tanking.
We did but then they nerfed tanks so people are even less incentivised to play tanks

It is in fact a good idea and resolves the balancing issues of 5v5, which by the way, will never be resolved and I think you know that considering your refusal to counter any argument I make on the atrocious balancing that came with 5v5, and it also balances the singular issue you have with 6v6. One-tricks will always whine and moan when they canât choose their character, 5v5 or 6v6 with one off and one main tank.
It would make 6v6 better for you, and the only people it will make it worse for are one-tricks, who are already a sensitive bunch regardless.
Also, you say youâre a support player, so realistically you have no input on how tank players will react to needing to play one extra character. Iâm a flex player with a preference on tank and I can play all of the tanks and most of the rest of the roster. Making a change to 6v6 such as this will have no impact on me, nor will it actually impact you. It will only impact one-tricks who have already had to make changes to who they play when their main is taken for the past 6 years.

No its not because they are using that hero so if i wanted to lets say use discord orb on ball i would habe to get htem to switch so that i could switch just to get discord orb immagin if the other person dont want to switch because they are playing well but your team needs both their utility guess you get to loose because you cant counter pick which is the whole point of the game.
No it wont i have been in custon games that block hero from being played if yiu pick a hero and it never works well out side of dps and that rarely works. Hiw about you accualy test this in the work shot like people have and seen it changes nothing about balance and what about the next meta that was even worse pull hook will you just keep blocking comps non stop kill ech hero can only pair with one or 2 other heros
That would never happen because people have never complained about two off-healers or two main-healers being on the enemy team, nor do the supports or even DPS for that matter contribute to the extent that tank does. People have however complained about two main-tanks on the enemy team for years (Mainly because people donât understand the simple concept of moving past the shields).
So double shield is still a thing even though two shields canât be selected, and off-tanks arenât mostly useless? Funny, because those would be massive changes to the balance.
Pull hook wouldnât exist because Hog canât instakill consistently, Orisa doesnât have pull and Orisa is not a main tank anymore and thus couldnât be selected with Hog.

Will never happen because DPS and supports are not the anchors of the team. The tank is.

Looks like you genuinely have nightmares with this, I honestly cant remember any pull hook meta, Hog was always ranging from ok to meh.
