It’s Tuesday. Stadium is still in an awful state. Certain heroes (cough Hazard cough cough Sojourn) are way overtuned. More importantly, competitive matches are 2 rounds shorter than they ought to be.
Can we expect an update to restore Stadium to a state worth playing today?
Million dollar question of the day (although I don’t recommend anyone play Stadium until the worst OW decision of 2025 is corrected).
I have the prayer circle started. Lighting some candles and pray for the return of BO7.
Sojourn doesn’t bother me as much as Hazard. He on the other hand is almost impossible to kill, does a ton of damage, has high mobility and can refresh his ult in less than a minute.
All the lava characters in this game are also becoming an issue. Ashe with her dynamite which lasts for far too long and does tons of damage. Rein drops lava, D.Va drops lava and now Torb is in the game dropping lava. All of it does insane damage and they all get Cybervenom so you cannot survive even if you are being healed
I would be complaining about Ashe’s dynamite delay and lava lasting way too long also if I wasn’t so busy complaining about Bo5, which has prevented me from playing entirely.
Guessing there won’t be any changes to Stadium today. Maybe a hotfix for some of the bugs.
I think the dev team is going to dig their heels in on Bo5 and not make changes.
As far as Hazard and Sojourn, they’ll “wait and see when we have more data”. Expect token nerfs in early November.
Do expect Lucio to get more unnecessary nerfs. Because someone tried to play him not realizing he was now useless. Dev team has to make sure he’s never picked again.
They’re “monitoring Bo5 closely” though.
So am I. Monitoring to see when the 5 changes to a 7!

I hope they don’t get rid of Bo5 I’m loving it. Sojuirn doesn’t seem to really be any worse than Ashe so can’t complain about her, yet… Hazard though needs some hard nerfs. That being said I don’t forsee any changes happening after this short of a time. I feel like if they thought Hazard was a busted as all of us do they would have hot fixed him already. So my assumption would be normal patch cycle.
Just saw their update on Steam. It’s just a blurb about how tools work in the new stadium season. Guess that’s a no on fixing the mode…
Also, Blizz? Did you think people weren’t equipping tools because they didn’t know about them? They’re not equipping tools because they’re hot garbage compared to the items they take the place of. If you want people to use them, then add a dedicated tool slot to the builder.

No, not getting anything until the midseason. Blizzard doesn’t do multiple patch changes unless it’s a big issue or a bug.

6v6 had 20% of the playerbase at its peak. 5v5 was higher still.
People play 5v5 because it’s role queue not because it’s 5v5
The 6v6 RQ test had 10%.
The 6v6 OQ test had 20%.
