The main problem I actually see is that the idea that one meta is better or more fun than another is an illusion.
Ever notice that we end up hating every. Single. Meta?
All of them. The devs have never balanced or a meta that people loved. Not even dive.
Every time a meta gets balanced out it is to cheers.
…because we get tired of playing the same game over and over again.
The devs don’t balance. The manufacture metas to keep gameplay fresh.
The hog meta will get balanced out eventually with hog and ball getting utterly dunked on at the same time something else gets buffed.
I would honestly not be surprised to see d.va and Winston mega buffed next. It’s been a long time since they were good.
