It’s a new game so I should be able to play, right?
I have 5 other accounts I signed up with so I’ll get a key eventually but I wanted to play on my main account for once.
A blue post would be nice to clear the air about this topic

It’s OW2 not OW tho, it’s a different game. Accounts penalties shouldn’t carry over.

I don’t have to. You need to try really hard to get perma banned. That itself says a lot.
Getting permabanned isn’t something people just stumble upon without deserving it, so I’m gonna go ahead and assume you deserved it
Sorry but I never said I didn’t deserve it, I did. It was ages ago and I moved on since then.
I got a key anyway so I got my answer, edit: but I can’t play because apparently OW 2 beta shares the same licence, I hope they fix that for the full release.

You treat me like I killed somebody like come on, it’s really not the same and no I never said racist or transphobic or whatever stuff in that kind, I called people bad and told them to stop feeding, yes it was dumb and I’ve paid the price (still paying it), now it’s OW2 and I’d like to play which is a completely fair request.
It’s like saying somebody banned in one CoD should be banned from all of them.

Can you confirm or deny the same for OW2 full release?
About two years ago I was “kinda” toxic - instantly got a three day ban after a warning one day before (no one day ban or warning) - I played Diablo 3 before and years ago had a short term ban there, it seemed to “stack”.
Then I tried really hard to behave, around the “shortly before diamond portrait level” time last winter - I got a two week ban in the first weeks this year, missing the brigitte unlockable, the last thing i wrote after thrown out of the game was literally “gg wp” after a balanced match.
I tried even harder to behave, and recently TONS of people LITERALLY ANNOUNCED troll spam reporting me for “haha we will end your shiny account level” - I got a warning last week and my last resort was to disable all chat out of the fear of getting perma banned.
The game feels as asocial as the report system is now, and your “haha I guess you deserved it” troll is a prime example of why a “player based report and ban system” is a disastrous idea, and it’s disgusting this system STILL STICKS to the game to this day.
