They really should make an Off Topic forum for it. That way, people can elect whether or not they want to participate in those kinds of discussions.
We’ve needed one for a while now, not just for politics stuff either.

I mean I could leap into all sorts of discourse about how things like LGBT rights shouldn’t be a “difference of belief” buuuut I mean. Things as basic as D.Va buffs are boiled down to difference in belief about her viability and role in the game. So it’s a bit general to me.

Politics is lame I agree but really it’s about time people cut the crap with the racism it’s 2020, not the stone ages. The color of your skin has nothing to do with the kind of person you are.

But do you know why we got such a bad selection? A mix of people deliberately not wanting to care, and sufficient DNC/RNC establishment shenaniganry to stop those that actually do.

Also political systems in general are generally optimized toward working with two major parties. Even in countries where you have much more diversity in terms of political parties, you still usually wind up with them grouping into two coalitions, and people often vote on the basis of these coalitions over the individual parties unless there’s a particular issue they really feel very strongly about. The nature of politics in the USA definitely aggravates that and makes it more evident, but it’s pretty frequently the case in any nation that allows free elections.
I would love it. Such discussion is divisive, trollish, and has no place on this forum.

can’t be mad at that if you aren’t also mad at the protests and the severe lack of ability to contact trace a disorganized protest. They both do the same thing in that respect.
Biden isn’t actually the candidate I don’t think, he’s not able to talk properly, and his odd ramblings aren’t exactly presidential, imagine him actually having to do the job and speak to other foreign leaders who are more pushy than he is. He would get rolled on as if he was a solo genji vs goats. It’s more likely that he’s just there to save the seat for whoevers actually going to be doing the job, afaik he is incapable of the duty and it’s abit insulting that HE is the democratic candidate up for election. So we have no REAL choice? It’s bad or bad. They both suck, they’re both politicians, they’re both liars, and they both give me the heebiejeebies.
So when I look to them, what should I vote for - a candidate who can’t do the job or a candidate that won’t do a good job, but at least he still seems there enough (Getting old tho - like biden type old after the next term) to get the job done to some kind of standard. Biden represents a whole bunch of people that have neglected their districts and are falling apart and have bad crime stats that they aren’t trying to fix because they’re too worried about the culture war, “dont worry about your homes and communities lol they’ll be gone soon but you’re winning trust me, you should trust us when we say you’re winning!”
You wanna know the ingredients to the biggest joke ever, Democrats and republicans. They’re just making america divided, and to be honest, they’re not even doing anything majorly helpful to ANYONE, yet look at the fallout that has to occur over it because everything they do is a GOTCHA to the other party, god forbid they actually worked together and stopped being… well. Politicians?
2 bads and the bads are about as bad as eachother, just depends who you believe is worse personally. But both of them lack principle. And I hate that. I HAAAAATE that. Especially in a leader, the one person who should have it, and yet we elect the trash we do somehow.
Point being neither side is going to help you, or even make things better. There is nothing but the best answer to our continued survival our candidates are that bad - we can’t look at making things better because we are too busy JUST TRYING TO SURVIVE WHATEVER CRAP THEY START.

Which one is more there? Point being, trump can still define racism and biden cant as the democratic candidate, I’m pissed that HE is the frontrunner, what a bs ask to vote between the two of them.
I’m not happy about that. True.
But you know, it would help if the President acted like he didn’t want support from genuinely racist people.
Much less stuff like kicking his campaign off on the anniversary of abolition of slavery, in a community where black people were massacred.

If one person is going to slap you, and another person is going to literally vivisect you with a chainsaw, you can probably safely say that one is worse than the other.
Sometimes being an adult means realizing that not any choice can be totally ‘clean’ or ‘pure’, that no content will ever be ‘unproblematic’, and that choosing the lesser evil is the only way to not let evil win. Otherwise you’re just endorsing evil to keep on keepin’ on, and that’s a pretty crap position to have.
no. any rule against politics “in general” is political too. there is no neutral between oppressor and oppressed. enforced apathy is just enforcing the status quo.

Mmm - I’m still yet to see it, but with all the censorship and cancel culture around racism is kinda harder to see now than ever, closet racism has never been more rampant, I miss the days where the racists said it out loud so I know where to seat my fist.

Dude, five people were literally lynched across the country in the last week or so. The cops are trying to report them as suicides, even though they were legit strung up! Racism is not ‘harder to see than ever’, you are simply allowing people to be racist and then when they SAY they aren’t racist, you go ‘Oh yeah I’ll take them at their word. After all X racist behavior isn’t THAT racist- or insert whatever other apology you want here, I really don’t care much.’
Like - racism is not ‘hard to see’, it is very easy to see, it is prevalent, and it is killing people. Folks who want to act like the cops are just fine when they are literally being filmed standing on people’s necks until they die - I do not get you. Where are you even coming from with this stuff? How are you okay with YOUR POLICE, THE PEOPLE MEANT TO PROTECT US ALL, doing this and not being swiftly and surely brought to IMMEDIATE justice? How is that AT ALL okay???
