In Ez mode you should see this window https://proclockers.com/sites/default/files/ASUS_Maximus_X_Hero_21.jpeg enable X.M.P. and see if it lists 3200MHz
Oh alright, when enabled how do i change the MHz or is it automatic once xmp is enabled? (I am not home right now and do not have access to my computer. I am asking for when I log into the bios.)
Are you running the game from the launcher or directly from the exe? Running the game from the exe is much more stable and give more FPS always, like 30% more or so.
You can try, you need to go to program files and look for overwatch.exe into the game’s folder.
Usually there’s a list of different settings. Sometimes they are just marked like profile 1, profile 2 etc and you’ll have to either check the manual/papers that came with the memory or try them out and see what numbers they give.
Woah, legit? Didn’t know.
Yes, I have ran the game from both and they still crash @kminito. I will give your suggestion another try though to verify again. @Sparru, I will also be checking both profile 1 and 2 for results. I am open to more suggestions if you have any. Since blizzard forums only allow one reply per user on my end, I will be trying to adress you all in one post! Many thanks in advance!
yes, I didnt know either. But Readed somewhere and it really works. I had some badd experiences since last update with lot of dps drops. That’s why I tryed.
@aeyyo Try it. For me worked perfeclty, I dont have a high setup like yours but the change was pretty amazing.
Could you explain why it runs faster via .exe?
I’m lucky if I can get 45 FPS
I can barely get 60 fps in the menu screen…
not really. I dont know who affects more or if it’s just some cases. But has benn proven. Different players did it and all I know is performance increase.
@MollyMango and @Smonk you should really try to execute the game directly from the exe. Your case is barely my case. I use to get 65fps ofr just that and suddenly since the last update I barely has been getting 30/40. Now running the game from the exe im getting 80/90FPS LOL.
This is very interesting, my guess is that the launcher takes some processing power on its own and slows your pc down somehow…
Do you play in fullscreen?
Ah that’s interesting, I usually close BattleNet right after clicking “Play” and that also helps me. I should try out your advice too!
Yes, That’s what I think. May be there is also sort kind of comm between both apps that makes performance in game more havy? I dont really know but im really happy having more FPS with the same pc you know.
Mine refuses to let me go over 60 so idk. I have the cap set to 300 but it never actually goes higher than 60
Yeahh…I did that also but it’s not the same at all. The bad part of this is you need to enter your credentials each time you want to run the game. The good part is you are boosting your performance considerably.
Borderless window
3m
In your case you probably have Vsync enabled. Disable that and watch the FPS skyrocket
Ill give that a try later, thanks. im at work right now though lol
