copy is broken and we all know that, multiple ults in a row is too much ontop of the versatility of it,
transcendence zen can’t reposition his orbs and it’s blockable by barriers.
primal winston can’t drop a barrier, but it’s also extremely powerful, infact one of the more powerful ults in the game.
yeah, the only thing that trumps genjis blade is copy because multiple shatters or multiple of whatever ult and not being able to die while using an ult is extremely broken.
no, it’s still plenty broken, characters like reaper and pharah who die regularly for just pressing the button, well echo doesn’t die, her ultimate just ends.
I’d be fine with seeing a power shift from blade, but please dont suggest undoing his latest nerfs. He was extremely OP and broken. The solution to that was not simply increasing his ult charge requirement.
Otherwise I really dont think he’s that bad of a hero. He has pretty middle of the pack stats at nearly every rank. His primary issue is that he just has a lot of pretty easy counters.
The issue is that the devs are unlikely to buff his base kit for the same reason you feel that he is a blade bot.
His ult is too strong and most of the power is his kit is waffling for a bit until you have the ult.
Compare him to flankers like tracer and doomfist. Their kit are internally consistent with zero reliance on their ult. Why? Because their ult is weak. Their ults are some of the worst dps ults in the game.
Genji on the other hand has one of the top dps ults in the game. He is built opposite to tracer. I think a flanker should be made like tracer where the base kit comes first and the ult compliments it.
I don’t think upping ult cost or making it a special exception to Nano is the right move.
I will advocate for a different ult because I don’t think making blade weak is worth it. You’re transforming into a sword swinging mad man. A weak blade doesn’t work at all.
It’s just, the dragonblade damage(120) can be outhealed by just an ana pocket or a bap immortality. So damage isn’t what really needs to be nerfed, the problem with his blade is how it can be damage boosted for an instant kill. So here we have the proposal of buffing his base kit in turn for nerfs to his ult, which I find very agreeable.
Tracer’s ult isn’t really weak though. It wins fight with less counterplay potential than blade, and yet her core kit is 2x the power level of Genji’s.
i think the extra speed was needed in his firing rate and the damage as well, and a nerf to his ult charge rate should have come to bring it back to being farmed at the same rate pre buffs.

No offense, but that was a pretty bad blade. Idk what the enemy was doing, if they were slightly competent you would have been dead. Also you just held left click for the entire thing.

You took a grand total of 12 damage and it was from Moira accidentally tickling you with his ult.
This is the complete equivalent of getting a 4k tire or reaper because the enemy team completely disregards your existence, because that’s what they did. Nobody made any effort at all to stop you.

Look… it’s okay to admit Genji isn’t as skilled as he’s made out to be. I do not know why some people are so offended by this… he’s not a god. And you are not a god for playing him either.
So, reaper, soldier, junkrat, ashe, d.va or any ult that can kill is overpowered then? If you play like they did into any of those ults, the exact same thing would’ve happened.
