Buff Fortify, PLEASE

Orisa is going to be the Tank hit the hardest after this next patch, she NEEDS a buff to compensate for this injustice. I’d propose one of four options.

1.) Make Fortify work off a resource meter, like Bastion and DM.

2.) Negate the self speed penalty while firing during Fortify

3.) Increase damage mitigation cap to 75%

4.) In addition to a 50% mitigation, give Orisa an additional 100 Armor

I’m not suggesting giving her all of these at once, because that’d most definitely make her OP, I’m just asking to consider anyone of them

Care to explain why 3 and 4 are so awful? I’d just like your feedback

The way I see it, 3 and 4 have the most potential for putting Orisa on par with Reinhardt like the devs intended for her to be by increasing her longevity

Fortify is arguably one of the best abilities in this game. The only downside to using it is if the enemy activated Whole Hog, and that can’t be said about other abilities with such great impact (Ana’s Sleep Dart being extremely game changing, but to the point if you miss it, it cost’s your team games in higher tiers).

An extra 100 armor would make Orisa the beefiest tank in the game throughout a push, while giving her no CC immunity and counters. Adding armor defeats the purpose of her weakness: being an anchor tank, she is vulnerable to different angles of attack. Extra armor would increase her survive chances form her counters, making it easier to get attention from the rest of her team in more time.

Orisa is a rather stationary Tank however, and she’d still be vulnerable to attacks from multiple angles, not to mention Orisa’s head is fairly large and Fortify does little to defend against them and the high damage output they yield. Perhaps I’m mistaken, but a Tank designed to be an Anchor for the team to rally behind is SUPPOSED to be beefy, no?

I think 1 is the best option. It lets her use it more dynamically without making it an absurdly strong ability. They could probably just increase her base Health pool if she’s still weak after that

I’d have fortify turn her barriers into full domes.
Btw, the armor nerf is going to be fine, Orisa spends all match behind her shield because she can’t body block anyway, in fortify the nerf won’t be noticable, and now she’s better against armor.

Hanzo is still public enemy number 1 for her.

Just give her an extra 50 health to basically undo the effects of the armor nerf.

I have been a fan of give Orisa 100 more hp since near her release. With the size of her character, and how slow she moves she deserves something to beef her up a little more. With this armor nerf, she’s even squishier (as a tank) than she already is.

The only other tank in the game with 400 hp has 200 shields which regens after 3 seconds of not taking damage.

Fortiy on a meter would make it insane.

I’m just afraid people will see this as me just wanting her to be busted when I’m just scared as to what this is going to bring about for her

I think a lot of folks are pretty cognizant that the armor changes spell bad news for Orisa. I wouldn’t stress too much

Care to explain exactly why that is? There’s of course be a bit of a delay between activation so she can’t constantly spam it
