same with me and a friend, he is a earlier top 500, and im an earlier plat, we played and won all of our placement matches and both of us got bronze 5, after now a 15 win streak im still in bronze 5, and he manage to rank up to bronze 2

Im now at 21 wins of 25 matches played (so 21win 4 loses) still stuck in bronze5 so im quitting comp now. Not playing comp when there is no reward after winning so many gamesā€¦ is there any news though when this will be fixxed?

No news. No reply from devs on any of the posts that Iā€™m watching. No acknowledgement from blizzard. Tons of posts are flooding the reddit with people with the same problem.

I think its a problem with the stats tracker, because if i look on my profile it says bronze 5 and thats all. It doesnt show my stats, and all my wins etc. So basicly i got played in ranked the game would look at the stats of my profile, its empty sooo oke lowest of lowest sr and bronze 5 it isā€¦ but thats just a guessā€¦

Same exact thing happened to me, I won all 7 of my placements in a row without losing any then placed bronze 5. I then played another 7 games doing the exact same thing and it placed me bronze 5, again.

I did all 3 of my placements and received Bronze 5 on all of them. During my DPS placements I played with my friend who played DPS too, after our 7 matches ended I received Bronze 5 while he went from Silver 2 to Gold 3. I had a positive win loss ratio for all three of my placements. How can I receive the lowest rank if I am not even losing 20 games. I only lost 11 games total for all my heroes. Honestly donā€™t see the reason to play comp if my rank is just going to stay the same.

I placed on Bronze 5, i won 7 of 7 gamesā€¦ and still in bronze 5ā€¦ nice system.

Yep. Same thing for me. Playing support, won 7, bronze 5. Won another 7, bronze 5. Half of my wins I had 0 deaths and over 12,000 healing. Highly out performing the enemy healers. Makes absolutely no sense. I am also annoyed at this forum and the naysayers acting like people are lying about this saying it is not a bug. If it was not a bug and it was a skill issue, then why are so many people experiencing the same thing? They should have done a complete mmr reset. This is stupid and quite frankly I have lost the motivation to play competitive until this is addressed or fixed.

same issue. playing support, won 7 out of 9 games. my rating was set to bronze 5 after my first set of 7 wins. this isnā€™t about getting good or whatever, I was in gold in Overwatch 1. and with that win rate it doesnā€™t make any sense to be that low. stop ignoring the problem, Blizzard! not gonna play comp again until this is fixed.

This is what you would expect, but is not happening.

Winning 7 of losing 20 is when your rank gets adjusted, but here it gets tricky. I losed 20 games went 2 ranks downs instead of 1. Won 7 games went 2 ranks up. Someone else I play with won 7 games and down ranked 1. Won 7 games en ranked 2 up. So its a complete mess.

Have the same issue - iā€™m too afraid to play comp now. Do not really want to waste my time or be caught with people above or below my skill level for too long.

I wish Blizzard would address this (even if it functioning as designed).

Exactly the same happened here.

Three of my friends were places in high diamond (3400 and way up) the last 3-4 seasons and having over 200 games won each season. I used to play a lot with them, I was high plat (2990) last seasons.

They ended up in Silver 4. I ended up in Gold 4. It makes no sense at all. After we played this season, we won about 7-8-9 games, lost 1-2, but wel all went down the drain; they went to silver 5 and bronse.

Iā€™m having this issue. I won 7 games lost about 5 or so then got placed bronze 5. Then I won SEVEN IN A ROW and got placedā€¦bronze 5. Like what did I try for I thought I was gonna rank up or something I dont get it.
