Bring back Old 2CP maps weekend event

It was just a mob mentality. A few streamers wanted attention so they started some movement to remove 2CP and a large enough vocal minority joined in for blizzard to comply. Every time you see flats, samito, any of these streamers, remember that they are deeply evil people who got the best gamemode stolen from you

Or hear me out. Bring 2cp back. If I have to sufferthrough push maps for hitscan players, they can suffer through 2cp maps for me

And you don’t have to. Just understand that different people like different things, and that 2CP is a skill that not everyone has.

Can you all tell what is wrong with having a weekend event on a seperate mode of quick play like COD where we have 2CP maps on rotation !

what is wrong with extra battle pass xp - no one is twisting your arm to play.

For me personally, I didn’t see anyone complaining about 2CP in the OG maps before Horizon released. Maybe Hanamura point B.

Complaining in game, and people leaving 2CP in my games, started with Horizon release. I myself left a lot of Horizon games, and all Paris games.

First point Horizon was heavily defense focused, no where near enough cover for attacking side. No flank routes with good cover. it was too frustrating to break through. Huge open space to reign down heck on, and the hallways to get to high ground were narrow death funnels. Often times it was just easier to go Sym and TP the team main onto point. It honestly felt required oftentimes.

Paris had the same issue on steroids. Instead of an open space it was a single death funnel.

Paris can easily be fixed imo. There’s an open space to fly through in the rooftops to the left for attackers. But you can’t stand on them. They can turn that into a Hanamura type window, even add a way to use stairs for non mobile heroes to get up there.

And then where the mini healthpack is on the right, put a door there leading into the building, make it a clothes shop or something random. And then another door exiting to the other mini healthpack on the other side of the choke.

Horizon, they should put a tonne of cover outside in space so it’s not an open deathtrap for attackers. Remove all of the annoying doors entirely and replace them with forcefields that you can shoot through. And rework the whole open spaced main area.

Now a lot of players didn’t like how defenders on point B 2CP could stall out so easily. Anubis and Volskaya had good enough cover directly adjacent to the point so attacking point B there didn’t feel as annoying. But Hanamura had no cover touching the edges of point, it was a little too far away from the point. So of the OG 3, Hanamura point B imo was the most frustrating.

That’s an easy solution. Extend the hallways of the spawn rooms, pushing it further back. And add more cover directly on the edges of point B. Like Volskaya’s walls with high ground rooms, or even similar to the walls that pop up in Meka Base.

Map reworks could have solved the issues of 2CP.

Instead, now we are getting a far worse 5CP. Hanaoka was so bad imo.

that aside, I would love to play on hanamura again, but we can leave volskaya, temple of anubis and paris out of it.

Nah, Volskya’s great for opponents that don’t know how the bottleneck is broken up. Just played two games and got a ton of point time before the other team woke up. Love that.

Anubis is a little harder, but you can break that bottleneck, too. It does have to be a little more coordinated, though.

I love the challenge.

yea chief Volkasya is the bomb, YOu need agood team.

Point 2 is a lot of fun sihnce the spawn is so close they keep spawning, more adrenaline for us to stomp on them

OG 3 maps were fine, some small tweaks needed maybe like extending point B spawn room further back and adding one or two walls of cover on Hanamura point B.

Horizon and Paris are broken and annoying, too defense heavy. Whether its a single tight space or massive open room with no cover, it’s a death funnel reigning down on attackers.

Map reworks would save 2cp. 5CP (Clash, not Flashpoint) isn’t needed, and imo worse than even push.

Booping them off the edge as they come out of spawn never got old.

Right? The tension is palapable with the defenders desperately throwing bodies at you and you are clawing like a maniac to get them off. The thrill. I could cry I miss it so much

I dont like the idea of 2cp. But hanamura is just too cool to not want to play on.

Volskaya is fine, id rather that than paris or temple, id rather anything than temple.

Slid agreed on all these three point. But I look at it this way, this is not comp, this is not regular quick play.

Literally the game is challenging us to finish it and get the W. I am only wanting this mode on same parr as what we have in COD.

No one gets up and says oh i feel like queuing Shipyard or nuke town. But yea, give me weapon xp, i will que and rank up my LMG.

I want that in OW2. We need more fun, more casual fun, where we can rank up our heroes without giving a shyt. What the other person thinks of our rank. I want to rank my Rein, but I forced to play what is needed.

What if we have an event that is understandable for everyone, then they play the hero they want and rank up that hero and get titles on that hero.

Its a weekend event on rotation, some folks like Kinds, some like anubis. not everyone is going to play.

agred that was the most BOSS map in OW2. I still dream of how I have anxiety on point 1.

*** Post edit - i really dont like telling game devs what to do when they design a map, rather i want to challenege my self. that is why i have great respect for players like Harbleu they took and showed the game devs how broken the hero is, that they had to redesign the hero*** we should do the same on casual maps. we dont lose anything!

If it was insanely popular, it would have a permanent spot like Mystery Heroes does. It’s one of the least played modes and the proof is it gets bumped all the time from Arcade. Something that never happened to Mystery Heroes.

Do you have qualitative data to back this up? No? DIdn’t think so.

Again, if it was so “unpopular”, why are so many UNIQUE people in it EVERY DAY?
