Brigitte may be the first post-launch female name that doesn't end with "a"

What do you have against an old convention of Indo-European languages? It sounds natural to many people that feminine construct ends with a sound.

There’s nothing wrong with it, this was just a fun post pointing it out.

Mercy’s real name is still Angela though

Technically yes, robots are genderless (as in not born with male or female parts), but people tend to talk of them as he/she, rather than it.

Therefore Zen and Bastion are male, and Orisa is female. It’s one of reasons BOrisa exists…

No, Zen is male, Orisa is female, and Bastion has always been neither.

I’m not saying the genders are definitive, just that I’ve seen a majority of people assign said genders to those characters, and this is why said ships (partly) exist.

What you choose to believe is up to you of course.

Bastion has ALWAYS been neither. Even to the community.

its not correct
it ends with an " e " from " element

Her official name might end in an “a” phonetically, but let’s admit it, probably 80% of the players will not pronounce it that way.

There’s gonna be tons of Bridget, Brijeet and who knows, maybe even Brig-it.

Also, I know she’s not officially a hero, but Efi is a female and also post-launch, so technically she’s the

"first post-launch female name that doesn’t end with “A”

What? This again? No, it’s not pronounced with an -a at the end. She literally says it in the video. Brigitt-EH. It’s an E at the end, not and A. There’s no “a” phonetically either. It’s pronounced “eh”

If you pronounce her name correctly it ends in a short ‘e’ not and ‘a’ sound.

Brigitte and Brigitta are two " old " german different names…
