idk what kind of zen you went against but zens i play against are far deadlier than anyone else in the enemy team specially for a reaper.
So you should actually play the same way you play vs zen. really careful.

Lots of people complain that Brigitte counter tracer and genji too much but no one ever mention that she makes Reaper TOTALLY USELESS.
Reaper is absolutely unplayable if thereās a brigitte in the ennemy team.
She counter him as much as pharah does.
Honestly they at this point they should just rework Reaper cause he is kinda pointless in the game. Too many things counter him.

But she isnāt a mandatory pick. Look at every role she can work for. There isnāt a hero around that doesnāt do it better.
Doomfist excels at crowd control.
Reinhardt and Winston beat her cleave damage.
Lucio outheals her basic aura and can match or surpass the burst healing from repair pack while also providing more team utility.
If other heroes can do her job why is she mandatory? Thereās a difference between being meta and being unstoppable. Iāve beaten her as Lucio, Orisa, Rein and Pharah, each characters who outperform her in her specific roles.
His hitbox is huge. Just need two shots to kill him. If he gets a right click on you, then yea you can definitely die to him. Just wraith or hide behind a wall if you see him charging it, then re-engage after.
Just watch Brigitteās cooldowns. If she stuns anyone other than you, you can deal some heavy damage to her. Count to five and then get ready to bait her next stun with your wraith, and finish the kill.
Yeah if you could manage to reach him you can kill him easily. but thatās a hard part. regardless zen is a balanced character unlike brigitte which is op.
As any DPS you WANT Brigitte to throw up her shield so you can break it and eliminate both her mobility and her stun. She cannot attack you with it up and stun is on cooldown, it slows her by 30%, and Reaper does 280 DPS. As he does 140 damage per shotgun blast before armor.
And if Brigitte is trying to circle around you then you just keep shooting her as you spin. You will take health off of her and get health back for yourself. You are not like a D.Va who moves 50% slower when using your primary weapons.
And at their mutual effective range her hitbox is not small enough to have enough of the pellets miss unless the reaper is just that bad at aiming. It only takes him 1 blast to strip the 50 armor layer off since that one blast would do 70 damage after factoring in the armor.
And in terms of attack speed she is actually not all that fast. Not to mention she does 58 DPS once the combo is burned.
Her 5 sec heal does not negate Reaperās ult. Keep in mind Reaperās ult does 170 DPS. She can block 1 tick of the damage. So unless the person she healed with Repair Kit was a tank they die anyways.

Statistically, Zen is overpowered. Brigitte āfeelsā overpowered because of her stuns.
There is a difference.
I still need to see numbers before I can say if she is actually overperforming or if people just arenāt learning to play around her.

Statics are not always true. killing zen is extremely easy he should always stand far far away from battle to do his things. and this only effects bad heroes like reaper.
Alright, reaper is better in 1v1 situations than Team fights everybody knows that.
How about trying to play Brigette watch instead? Play with team and as soon as she moves in for SB just wreck her shield. No shield, no shield bash.

Yeah the shield and the HP are 600+250, good luck taking that out before she can combo you for 120 guaranteed and lands 4 regular shots (melee, unblockable by shield, takes 2,4 sec).
Yeah shield slows by 30, not while jumping though.
You are estimating WAY too much in favor of Reaper, like hitting 20 out of 20 pellets everyshot all the time, never hitting the shield, never failing.

Again, subestimating way too much. Like brig is going to come at you walking meanwhile you destroy her shield, like she is not going to be behind a tank (as she should) ever. See the last part of my post.
Well yeah, Reaper has to reload, there he does 0 damage. She doesnt.
You can block Reaper shots with a shield, you CANT block Brig melee/shieldbash/stun.
The combo can be done every 5 seconds pal, dont forget that.

Reaperās ult does around 510 damage to a single NON ARMORED target if you are literally hugging the enemy, the moment you walk 5 mt away, is barely 250ish and with the armor, is around 180. Its been proven several times, check any video.
Theres one with a Sym + armor + shields tanking the whole ultimate.
Instead of theorycrafting, go test it yourself. Once again, lets see if you read it this time :
The main problem is not the 1v1, the main problem is that with a bit of support on her, that being additional healing or a bit of tanking, she becomes unstoppable. You need 3+ people to stop that duo of Brig+Tank/support. Its bloody insane.

If fun how on most of situation people comment here the Brigitte player plays perfect and does everything good meanwhile the Reaper player is a dummy and let her kill him without using his guns or skillā¦
Also looks like people love raise her health 600 because the shieldā¦looks like Rein has more than 2000 hp then xDD

Reaper was pretty bad even before Brigitte tbh. She just adds a big box of salt to an open wound.

maybe give reaper the grenade launcher from the cinematic.
it would have to be somewhere between helix rockets and Junkrats primary fire, but i can see it working.
In the right hands he was quite handy to have, now though even in the right hands he is utterly useless, I think Reaper is only one of a few heros to have these stupid little buffs that have done nothing for his viability at all.
Such a waste of a great character sitting in G tier.
Congrats have an event based on a character that never sees the light of day.

What a suprise that the ones who think Reaper is fine against Brigitte are silver-plat players.
Iām definitely not saying that you are bad players because of your rank. Iām only saying that there is a pretty big difference between a Plat Brigitte and a Master Brigitte.
No, Doomfist has more counters than Reaper does.
They need to make her less tanky or less a support right now she is too good in both and thats why the three support comp is busted
