See this is the problem with Brig, if she’s so focused around one part of her kit that nerfing it kills her then maybe she wasn’t that well designed of a character.

(Not that this kills her, she’ll still be fine)

No, but just as good at one or the other would be fine. Not worse at both where there’s never any reason to choose her.

Sheild bash was avoidable. This just makes it less annoying for tanks + her main strength (her armour output, her healing, the reason shes picked in goats) is still strong as ever

brig’s nerf gives her a more defined role

she’s easier to balance when she’s geared in a more specific direction

So lets say a support is A rank at support and a tank is A rank at tank. You think she should be A rank at support but then C rank at tank? And that’s balanced why? Why would you pick a character great at one role over a character great at that same role but also ok at another

Look at Moira. Good healer. Supdar to decent damage dealer.

And she’s fine.

So yes having Brig worse at both will make her unplayable.

The question is do you? Zence was claiming brig is now significantly worst at both tanking and healing, not that she should be the best at either.

Meaning she could consider Rank C heals, B Tank, if we were using your example. Or even C tank, C heals(compared to a C tank). But right now brig is a solid D or F. I’m assuming all the other tanks fall along your ranking system on that scale, so “just as good”, doesn’t necessarily mean as good as the best.

Yes, so is Ana. They’re subpar damage dealers. Brig wasn’t a good healer and a subpar damage dealer. She was meant to be a good healer and good tank which she wasn’t. She was a good healer/tank/dps.
