Briggite might come back

The armor buff on top of shield meta getting a nerf is really going to help her shine. Personally I’d like her get a bit more mobility, but overall things are looking good.

After spending a few matches on her, I dont think she’s balanced, I think she’s a bit underpowered but I still get a lot of enjoyment out of her.

Assess Brig after the armor changes go live…

Not sure why theyd release a character then nerf her into the ground. Not a rework, no, a different playstyle that doesnt mesh with her design due to close range fighting.

What makes me sad is when devs cave into complaints. This is their game, their art; be confident with what you create. Then again, lack of resources to pay the devs, so lets do somethi simple that doesnt need much thought. Ultimates on e for example

Yeah, honestly, the armor change is a considerable buff to her. Will it be enough to make her worth using?

Well… combined with the huge Moira nerf, possibly yeah

I already called it, even before the PTR: Brig will be nerfed again. Armor pack will not remain at 60HP/s.

It’s 60 HPS actually lol

I could see Rally getting nerfed in how quickly it applies armor. That, and possibly the armor overheal granted by a single Repair Pack being nerfed, but multiple Packs being allowed to stack up to the cap.

Because, you know… how dare she be viable

Indeed, missclick. I mean to say it will go down to 50.

Haven’t had my coffee yet.

(Brigitte still dies, though)

into more nerfs hopefully

this is great, cuz brig was awful as a secondary support for long now, and the role lock made it worse… this buff might give her what she needs.

Her kit still actively works against itself and her new playstyle. The armor buff is cool but she needs changes to her kit. :man_shrugging::man_shrugging::man_shrugging:

I play brig even now, but I dont get flamed… this buff should make her more viable.

A fear that I share.

Before all this, playing Brig was a massive gamble. You could put out decent heals, but required the enemy playing poorly to do so. When playing Brig, sometimes my team was neutral on it, sometimes they asked me to switch.

With the armor revert (in a vacuum), that starts to put a premium on Brig’s armor distribution. That means people are going to want a Brig for that unique utility she brings. Which is actually good. That should bring her up to par with the other healers and utility, so that you can choose a viable utility from the entire lineup.

But, the armor reversion isn’t in a vacuum. It’s coming alongside sweeping shield nerfs. That means armor, as a means of staying alive, is going to be something of a godsend (or a Brigsend, ho ho ho). That could catapult a currently mediocre Brig into a must-have like Moira was, meaning that she’ll consequently be nerfed to bring her pick rate down again.

Remember how people said Moira didn’t need nerfed because nothing substantial changed about her, it was only the meta that shifted into her favor? Yeah, I have a feeling that’s coming.

Brig is still weak in the approaching team fight phase, the poke phase or the initiation phase, whatever you call it, she can only contribute with her packs and if she runs out of the 3 she goes back to using 1 every 6 secs.
If this changes make this phase faster, then she will decrease this weakness she has.

Come back?, she already has the highest win rate of the supports.

She is already here

I really think her repair pack are pretty powerful, the thing is armor being better and brig giving armor to team mates it means tracer is back to being niece again like she was in the goats meta with brig and amor… I dont play tracer but having an ability that makes the entire character useless is way to powerful… but maybe tracer might get another buff…

How do you figure this? If she armors up people going in and procs heals… this is not weak at all unless we have current barrier levels…

Briggite is viable right now, but in ptr she is near op, she makes low hp heroes really difficult to kill with armor, and her ult is…

The better way to stop a team with her is killing her first, cuz she can’t get armor from herself and with weak shields, she is a lot more vulnerable against hitscans.

That is only reason I still not sure if she need a nerf before coming live, maybe people can adapt.

Look, in maps and moments where the enemy is waiting for the attackers to come, whatever team Brig is, from distance she can’t proc inspire, can’t contribute with damage, she just has the packs, and until the approach is done (the distance gap is closed), packs may not be enough to heal all the income damage on approach, specially ranged damage, she needs inspire. That’s only her weakness though and, as I said, if this phase gets to be faster with these changes she will get this weakness overcome quickly.
