This is the problem. Tracer is a great duel hero, one of the best. But so is Moira. You should pretty much always win this fight in a closed space/corridor unless its a smurf just headshot burning you in the first second of the fight. Focus on staying alive w heal orb and A/D spam for 3 seconds (so she cannot recall out of the room, she will recall regardless when low). If you are evasive and using heal orb where it can bounce on you it is a tough fight for tracer - she has 3 sec of life under succ, plus another couple after recall - can you dodge while getting healed for 5 sec? With fade on 6s cooldown?
But, one slip up and youāre dead. Not the case with Genji or Sombra. Doomfist first needs to get in the backline too, same for Reaper (and luck on his spread), if they arenāt busy fighting tanks of course (why does DF do they anyway?).
My point is, why is Tracer an exception to all rules. She is hands down the best flanker, and thatās ok? Genji and yes, even DF are more difficult to play, but often achieve less in matches becuase Tracer is just flat out better.
In fact sheās the best duelist, only dying when she herself slips up after using all her escape cards (a rarity), or you have an aim god on your team protecting you (also a rarity).
Iām just so tired of this rubbish thatās sheās fun to play against. She isnāt.
Iāll leave you with just one question. If they could only have one flanker in this game, who would you prefer to fight with? I think you get my point.
you have the terminology wrong, what a ācounter isā. Tracer had counters - Cree, Mei, Winston,Hog,Dva are all pretty hard on Tracer, can kill her when she dives, in fact Cree/Hog can delete her exactly like Brig does. But its not easy, and 1v1 Tracer CAN kill you/escape if you are sloppy, esp Cree. They needed an EASIER counter - so here comes Moira. Turns out she is good vs Tracer like the first ones but the very top tracers still win. Genji hates life however, mission accomplished there. So in the end we get Brig since Moira was not OP enough, finally a hero that a potato can reliably kill tracer with. The kingdom of supports rejoices. Brig is not a counter to Tracer, brig DELETES tracer. Like moira deletes genji. Supports deleting flankers designed to attack a backlineā¦I should not have to detail how this is horrible design. A simple nerf of 10 hp to Tracer could have saved us from the preschool derpiness of Brig, ah well.
A counter makes your life difficult, but is something you can outplay occasionally.
