In plat, which is not really a solid argument. Any hero can climb at that rank
“Amazing heals” Lmao what? She’s still an off healer so okay?
Doesn’t help her…at all…
I mean it’s a cc ability. All of them are supposed to be “amazing”? It’s PRETTY hard to do her shield bash when it’s a 200HP shield that almost all heroes can kill EXTREMELY quick…Hanzo can literally 2 shot it and it’s down.
Lmao “Re-learn and adapt” you do realize its the exact same play style and ability’s right? How do you re-learn a hero that have no changes to her ability’s
? All the rework did was make her weaker with slightly more heals and a plummeting pick rate across the board
I can assure you she’s ultra trash in masters
Armor Pack is basically 60hps when they are getting healed for 2secs(Multiple Armor Packs on Single Target Increases Duration by 2 Secs per pack)+Inspire 21hps. If only armored, then its dmg reduction for 5 secs+21hps inspire, close to Ana’s 90hps consistent shots but greater than Mercy’s normal healing, but allows flexibility, can be refreshed, on multiple targets, not required to be near each other but in general vicinity.
Inpsire procs, from Boop elims, so you can technically double refresh inspire proc with Whip Shot. Understanding how Inpsire works and who recieved their temporary heal buff, is vital. ITS NOT Lucio Aura, so you don’t just walk to teammates who didn’t get buff for them to get healed so you need to have awareness who is around you, they have to receive procs.
Not to mention, on average you can deal 10k Healing AND 10k Armor, which is 20k Dmg Reduction. Outside of Shielding.
Bash can negate ultimates, moiras, Lucios, Reaper, Mei’s, Stop Doomfist, etc. It’s still amazing tool. You know, most of the Heroes that everyone is Meta Hive Minding about.
Yes, this is a new Brig you have to Re-Learn and Adapt to more difficult but better version of Brig. If you don’t dedicate time you will never be good with Brig.
I think a Lucio/Brig Dive could work. They support each really well, but lack healing unless it’s a Dive comp.
My record is 17-9-1 with Brig in like 5 hrs with a 66% win rate. She’s really good at peeling Reaper and Doom, so yeah, she’s a lot better than people think.
Many times, evasion, peels, and utility do more to keep allies alive than heals. If your team want bursty heals, they need to come close to Brig and Lucio to get the double layered AOE healing.
Well, most meta comps revolve around being close together. I just think Rein requires a lot more healing to be kept alive, and Orisa comps like to stay back, whereas Brig doesn’t. This is why I see this as part of Dive.
All things she was much better at before. Those of us who play Brig well know how she works. The problem is that she just isn’t very good at it anymore, and every other support does it better.
I actually started playing Brig after her rework because I despised her skill : reward ratio. She’s obviously weaker than pre rework, but she got nerfed, so that’s to be expected. I play Lucio, Ana, and Bap as well, and if any of those heroes had redundant win conditions as Brig, I wouldn’t play Brig. I play Brig, because she’s better at peeling than any of them by a substantial margin. Her personal self sustain is a lot worse, but her peel is still very strong that made her a linchpin in GOATs, as every hero in GOATs (almost every) was a strong peeler. Lucio is the second best peeler, but Brig having a stun can shut certain things down. Ana has the best CC of all the supports, but the cooldown is higher and if you miss, you or your teammate is screwed.
Her skill:reward ratio hasn’t changed. She’s just as skillful now as she was before, but she’s less able to properly perform her duties. Anyone who says that Brig wasn’t skillful before is simply wrong and likely didn’t know how to play her.
I think Brig is more necessary in a Dive comp if running Ana in Dive, because Ana will need some baby sitting while her whole team leaves her to go pounce, and while she’s delivering heals from long range, Brig can throw armor packs from range too and protect her against a counter dive, since the ally tanks will be deep in enemy back lines. This prevents trades, which isn’t a winning strategy. Mercy doesn’t need to be baby sat, and goes really well with Dive, but Brig goes well with this, because Brig can get aggro with the rest of the team by not having to baby sit an immobile support (some of the best Dive supports are immobile like Zen and Ana). Sometimes Ana/Mercy combo is very good, because even if Ana gets killed, the enemy isn’t likely to camp the body if most of the action is deep on their side due to Dive being in their back line, so Mercy can always fly back for an easy Res on the Ana.
Her skill has stayed the same, but the reward has gone down. I supposed I should have clarified that.
Yes, okay. I would agree, for the most part. The problem is that you had to work hard to get her full reward before, unless you were playing against absolute potatoes. They’ve removed a lot of her reward and it’s not cool.
Brig outside of GOATs wasn’t really OP in a sense, but she also didn’t give an incentive to run her outside of GOATs, so people automatically assumed she was OP by relation to GOATs, just like they did to Dva, and to be honest, as a Dva main, Dva got wrecked way harder than Brig.
I think she will get some changes to make up for it
To be honest, the only thing I’d do for Brig is increase her charges by one or decrease the cooldown rate to gain a charge back. If not, allow your ally to keep the extra armor instead of it decaying.
yeah thats pretty much what iv been thinking as well, If she is going to get a buff i prefer it to be in her capacity to armor her team up. also a nice QoL upgrade in the form of a UI element that tells you how many allies are in range of her Inspire and maybe a sound proc when a teammate gets hit with an inspire wave.
another Idea I had I cant quite tell if it would make her OPAF or not, reduce the over heal cap from repair packs and give it to her inspire so of example her inspire over heals for 25 armor and armor pack over heals for 50 armor instead of 75.
I will never understand this obsession with putting a Melee hero in the backline…
