Why are you positioning so aggressively? What’s wrong with treating it like her primary fire?
Post rework Brig has always been about the packs, stuns, and boops. With the packs nerfed the priorities shift to the latter two, which typically does not necessitate standing where your head can be blown off.
Also my Brig is significantly better than my Lucio.
This is literally why I emphasize aim. Boop screws with them a lot.

Umm…you know, a lot of Brig mains actually want to brawl and don’t want Whip Shot to be our primary fire. That just sounds unfun.
Right now, Brig is just a Whip Shot/RP bot. No one is saying you can’t get value from her from playing in a very specific way.
It just betrays her character, design, identity, and core playstyle.

Sustained brawling can’t be balanced, in any role, on any character. Not even Reinhardt has that level of sustained brawling power, and his presence alone doesn’t leave much room for a substitute there. Zarya is under some pretty intense scrutiny.
Besides I explicitly enjoy the tactical whipshot/bash “bot” playstyle, and I know I’m not alone.

And yet I still disagree. Its a reason why many Brigitte mains are talking about. A brawling Brig can be balanced, she wasn’t OP in the last patch, and her core identity and play style has changed.
Its Blizzard’s MO to change a hero like this.
Look at Symm. I personally know many Symmetra mains just quit OW for good when Symm 3.0 came out. Its because Blizzard ignored the vast majority of Symmetra players and now the hero is completely different.
Are there plenty of players that just love Symm 3.0? Sure. Even a few that played Symm 1.0 and 2.0 Not many though, but good for them.
Same for Brig. There will be players that find oodles of fun just managing cooldowns all match with her two abilities. I’m not one of them. Many Brigitte mains that love being a close ranged healer aren’t either. You do? Good for you.
Doesn’t change the fact that, since the patch, she’s simply not Brig anymore to many players. -_-

Not with the way balance is heading. Average power levels are dropping pretty harshly across the roster.
Like Sym, her identity and character mean different things to different people. To say it was betrayed implies that there was one canon definition, which is what I take issue with.
You don’t even play Brig or Symm!??
I do play Brig. Since 2/2/2 most of my playtime has been outside RQQP, and my play history as a whole is heavily weighted towards the 2nd year of the game.
As for Sym, back when my stack still played regularly, my support partner played a ton of Sym. That said, you’re using Sym as an example here, I don’t see how that’s relevant. We all get Syms from time to time in our games, on our teams, etc. It’s not like we don’t develop an opinion accordingly.
brig can’t be meta because she’s inherently flawed. How is she a dive counter and viable in double shield meta? Why is she good against non dive comps? Why was she allowed to be tanky herself and just pack the other support and make them immortal? ITs not even just being a extremely easy hero to pick up, its that shes easy and can counter multiple heros with 0 effort. And you can’t just “gO pHaRaH 4 HeAd” Thats the worse argument ive ever seen. There’s like a 20 hitscans in the game. Like I said its not even killing the brig individually, on top of her being tanky she made everyone else hard to kill. Same problem with widow just because you can mirror the widow to contest, thats inherently unhealthy because it forces you to play a hero. And people wonder why devs listen to pros and higher elo players instead of random gold players.

Firstly, I’m not a gold player and I think she needs help. Secondly, she’s clearly the worst support in the game with the worst pickrate (less than 1% atm).
Thirdly, no hero should ever be unfun or completely unviable. Period. Its clear you’re not a Brigitte main. But when your favorite hero gets 9 consecutive nerfs in a row, and the hero has to play very differently than their original design and identity, then that’s not cool.
The players, including Brigitte mains, want a hero that is fun and engaging to play. Right now, she’s just a Whip Shot/RP bot. Its up to the devs to make her balanced and still fun to play, not the players. And no one deserves the toxicity Brigitte mains get, just from playing their favorite hero and wanting that hero to be fun to play again. Period.

As a Mercy main, I’m sorry. Expect your hero to be garbage for a long time, you might need to pick up Ana or something. She’s basically untouchable despite pickrate.

Imagine 95 gold players that keep liking each other bad takes are keep hostage this whole competitive game… brig is meta right now in high ranks, and even in masters she is SO OPRESIVE to play against. She been meta for straight 2 years while you gold players keep complaining about her, this is insane at this point. WHY 100 BAD PLAYERS THAT CANT AIM HOLDING THIS GAME HOSTAGE BLIZZARD?! REWORK BRIG INTO A GOOD HEALER ON LOW RANKS AND BAD HEALER ON HIGH RANKS!!!

SO you want all the players in high ranks to suffer brig ALWAYS, a hero who made over 10-30 MILLION players quit the game ( thats just FACTS) cuz she is too easy, and too boring and opressive to play against, to become HARD CORE meta again, which she already are on high elo, after 2 years of the worst owl metas ever been? Please quote source for this figure. I’ve seen some wild things on this forum, but I think this one takes the cake. What most quit over (and it wasn’t tens of millions of players no one says this that has any authority) wasn’t Brig, they quit over GOATS… and even 10 Million over Brig is a laugh.
Brig was only as oppressive as Tracer was in the early game. Tracer gave birth to Brig (and Moira).
She’s #3 in GM and trash everywhere else. Isn’t this the sure sign of a skill character that everyone loves to quote? Like Tracer?

Are you insane? I have more then 20 friends quiting the game cuz of brig. Brig is the enabler of goats and all the stupid metas over the years . She is the bone back to which why ow skill floor is so low and no one likes to play it. Check yt video called “ why brig killed ow”
And no gold playerr, the fact she is only OVER POWERED in gm is not infact means she needs skills. Thats just a bad understanding about the hero. SHE MAKES OTHER HEROS UNKILLABLE, which if you are. A GOOD PLAYER AKA GM PLAYER you can use it 10 times better then a gold player like you.
I think they need to find the middle ground like instead of 200 hp and 50 armor or 150 hp and 50 armor, go for 100 hp and 100 armor.
I would personally would also like to see her focus more on utility than healing considering armor is also more hp but better or worse depending on the enemy which gives place for counter play.
