Just rework her again with no rez…
Her winrate actually seems healthy right now tbh. Just over 50% in all ranks and among the highest in the game in GM.
Anyway, the entire point of The Other Thread was to compare Mercy numerically to other healers, specifically Moira, so pointing out that Moira is both picked less and wins less despite winning out massively on numbers does say something. It says “maybe raw damage/healing numbers on their own don’t say anything, because they’re contextual?” Because people could do the same thing with DPS heroes, comparing them all to Bastion.
Not true. I am sorry but that is why I made this thread, to debunk this misinformation.
She is well below half way down the winrates when sorted as I showed very clearly in my screenshot.
Hashtag justice for Moira
Filter to this week pls, we had a balance change in that timeframe so anything else is outdated information.
So you’re saying her nerf made her winrate higher?
Because she just got her hp/s healing lowered by approximately 20%.
Or is it because she is an accessory to pharah who is currently the defacto answer to GOATS? Honestly with that context it doesn’t make Mercy seem like she’s being picked because of her kit NOR that she’s in a good position herself.
Instead it seems like she’s just an accessory for Pharah. Which is what I argued in my post.
Considering that Mercy’s pick rate is triple that of Pharah’s, I’m not sure how much the “Pharah accessory” argument holds water.
Oh, you’re using monthly stats. Closer to double then, my bad.
How dare you use words to try to convince me of something. You are a bad bad person.
so here’s the thing, when a hero has a negative winrate in gm, that’s horrid
now that that’s changing, she’s getting into average winrate that’s on the lower end as well as a low pickrate (also help bastion, he’s suffering the most)
and hi winston, how are you
Mercy’s pickrate is 3% to Pharah’s 1%, though, so I’m not sure how you came to that conclusion.
Anyway, I’m sure you can be trusted to accurately read the numbers under that light.
Also, that’s not what I said, I said buffs to heroes she synergizes with made her more effective, because that’s how synergy works.
I’d like to post this here as well, as I believe it adds to the OP’s point even more. The stats show that Mercy is not only “sub-par” in GM despite her 1-week winrate percentafge being 53%. She is still on average, arguably the worst support across all elos in terms of winrate. This is a problem… Something needs to be done to make her more competitive against this “utility-creep” among the supports.

Am I missing something here? Besides justice for Moira?
edit: yes, this is a weekly run. However, a good point is raised about how a relevant balance change has passed through. I’d hold off on any Overbuff stats with more than a grain of salt until “monthly” is up to date to the current patch.
I don’t think you’re missing anything, they’re just using monthly stats.
Mercy’s stats still aren’t great below GM, but I do think a meta shift will happen, since things like this usually start in GM and then trickle down. I have been noticing a lot more Mercy and a lot less Ana in my games fwiw.
Those stats still factor in Symmetra as a support. I wouldn’t use those particular stats as accurate.

Overbuff has always factored Symmetra as a support; there’s no correlation between that and the point at hand. I took that screenshot two minutes ago.
I’m sure Sym was a support in your screenshots too–you just cropped every hero out individually
Reagan was right all along?
Well, you have a point. I always disliked when people used Overbuff stats to state that “Mercy is fine now” or “Mercy is OP”, etc. What I personally think matters is that Mercy has been boring to play ever since her rework, but the situation became gradually worse with the nerfs. That is why she isn’t ok. Winrates or Pickrates are perhaps not irrelevant, but it is not what I personally have a problem with. Blizzard ruined the enjoyment of playing Mercy for me, and that is what I personally care about.
And that’s fair enough. Unfortunately, most of the reworks to make Mercy “fun” explicitly tend to make her busted. I don’t really know if Blizz wants to risk fudging her balance for that.
Mercy is balanced?
