Blizzcon is last chance

wow is dead.

what you see is a skinner box rng casino masquerading in the games hollowed out skin.

I certainly won’t be leaving anytime soon…

I agree but only with this part.

Either way Blizzcon seems like last chance for redemption. If it is not then, it is not going to be anytime soon.

Same.

I swear if the only thing they have to show at Blizzcon is OWL exclusive legendaries, or promotions for the second season with nothing for the base game, I’m done.

Regardless of what you feel about this game, that will definitely not happen. Even if the only Overwatch-related thing they announced at BlizzCon were a new $30 skin, Overwatch would remain extremely popular for a good while.

However, I do think that they have something good in store.
Not many people seem to be a fan of Busan, so maybe we’ll get a new map? Or maybe it’s too early for that. However, we know we’re going to see hero 29, so that’s exciting!

Honestly, though, the only thing that can even compare to getting a new hero is balance changes. Those are the most exciting and important parts of Overwatch updates to me. However, I don’t think they show balance changes at BlizzCon, but still. I am excited for hero 29, though.

Oh, and some people are saying that an Overwatch expansion is coming out. I’m not so sure about that one, but if it’s real, I wouldn’t mind it (as long as it’s a singleplayer or PvE expansion, not an expansion for PvP content or something involving cosmetics, you know).

I don’t know if 10+ years. Their Esports scene will still be active and important but just like League, no one really goes crazy for it anymore. The games going to not be so popular in 10+ years with it’s casual players but amazing for aspiring esport players.

HOTS, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 all dead games now.

Don’t play Starcract 2. But, I get public groups easy in Diablo 3, and have absolutely no trouble getting into a match in HoTS.

Pretty odd for dead games.

Always the “I can get a group easy in x game”. Reminds me of the battleborn and lawbreakers lot.

Okay. Obviously we have very different definitions of what the reality of a dead game is. Battleborn is a dead game, and has been for quite a while.

Diablo 3 and HoTS? Yeah, I’m not even entertaining this any longer.

Dude. You have no clue what you’re talking about.

They gave us Arcade mode (which totally counts) and even Custom Games that lets you set up as many wacky game types as you want.

I don’t know what modes other FPS’s give that this one doesn’t - honestly, they all seem pretty barebones vs Overwatch.

The one thing this game is missing that I’d love is an actual Story mode. Archives always being available would be beautiful. I understand however that if they did put Archives on the list all year, people would complain that there’s only a total of 20 minutes of PVE story missions “when other fps games give you 5-10 hours”.

I don’t get the mix of clueless and pessimist that these obviously factual wrongs represent. Why are so many people hanging around on these forums only out to pretend that the game(s) dead?

It’s a Blizzard game. Trust me, it will never die.

Sorry, but you’re simply wrong.
Just like the people here that pretends that 60% of accounts are smurfs just to validate their “theories” that OW is “Dying” because obviously their own frustration MUST be shared by “everyone” for some reason.

So right, Blizzcon is the last hope.

Yes there will be people who will still play and defend this game after, but not many.

If we don’t get something big at blizzcon, we are done for.

Lore is the big one here, there had better be some big, epic, and story moving lore👌

And people saying Warcraft isn’t dead?

Overwatch is nothing even close to Warcraft. Warcraft has content, lore, updates, and all😂

you really don’t know much about blizzard… they took Overwatch’s success pretty greatly but their games are made to pass the test of time and not as some sort of hype-y fortnite-y seventh heaven for everyone

They succeeded on creating a very loyal player base for overwatch and even if a lot of people ends up leaving those who keep on playing amount for more than enough as to keep the game alive

Yes, finally someone who gets it! Blizzard aren’t the type to let a game die. Even if a game pretty much dies, it’ll live on through merch and cross-overs (eg: Starcraft)

“We”?

Who are these “we” you are talking about? Oh and I thought the last major update was the make or break? Now Blizzcon is the make or break?
I think you are confusing your own personal feelings about the lack of lore for “a majority”.
