I’m readying the checklist.
- “I disagree”
- “thanks for projecting your opinion”
- “”
- “the devs have reverted mercy multiple times”
- “we have to agree to disagree”
- Spending an obnoxious amount of time focusing on semantics and nitpicking criticism.
- Grouping every mercy complaints like they come from a single person and only answering to those they can reply.
- “this like ad personam”,
- “ True fair and fun ”
Pretty new to the forums and honestly, this was so spot on in this thread that it gave me pause. The OP seems to be well articulated, by the response comments seem to shed light on the OP herself. I’ve already got 75% of my checklist checked from just this thread, which doesn’t look good for OP.
Does anyone know why OP goes over the top with the fake niceness? It feels like she’s just being passive aggressive and adding emojis as a weak attempt to hide what he/she is actually doing (being passive aggressive/condescending)? Is the signature a troll? Is this entire thread a troll??? (Sincere question.)

I trust the mods to see that to not be the case (especially considering our own post history). But thanks for your concern though!

Welcome to the forums!
Thanks for projecting your opinion, but I’m sorry, how is this post at all constructive to the topic of this thread? This is a discussion on Mercy and discussion of potential reworks. Not what we personally think about the “niceness” or “authenticity” of others. Let’s keep it classy, on-topic, and thanks for your cooperation!

a dynamic cast time, with larger resses taking longer to pull off than smaller ones
I genuinely believe that this is the best way to do it. Mass round clutching Rezzes will become a rarity. Very powerful, but reliant on the enemy not paying attention.
Tempo Rezzes are easier to pull off than with a flat cast time add more much-needed complexity to her Ult. And, of course, removing the invuln is important imo.
gonna add “sorry but how is this post constructive?”.
And yes, you ARE passive aggressive all the time. Stop pretending you aren’t

I agree. I feel that invincibility should honestly have never been included in her kit. I believe that it was a poor design choice on their part. And although I understand how a dynamic cast time may not be a popular idea with some Mercy players (myself being one, knows this more than anybody), it is just one way I think that Mass Res can be incorporated while still allowing for counterplay. I’m sure there are other ideas as well to meet this goal regarding mass res. And as said before, there’s always room for tweaking if cast times are either too short or too long, and that’s only one of the two proposed versions in my post.
I should add that I think there is some confusion in some people thinking that I’m referring to her slow, which is also not the case. There isn’t a slow in her movement with these kits, and she will still virtually be as mobile as she was before that was included, but the casts in order to complete a rez will vary, depending on how many people are being brought back… If that makes sense. Hmm… Perhaps I should include that in the OP as well…

she is, it’s very weird and disturbing…,
Anyway, OT: mass rez is never coming back in any shape or form.

Actually, I humbly disagree I do think it’s relevant to the topic because I was asking whether or not this was a troll post because of the checklist OP was providing and my perception that your posts were passive aggressive/sarcastic so I wasn’t sure if you were trolling. I was asking if this post was a troll because of the many other posts made similar to this (I think even by you less than a week ago).
Before investing time into a discussion about a huge rework for a hero I think is pretty balanced (could do with some tweaks, but definitely not the hero #1 in line for a rework; I would have to say that Bastion/Symmetra are definitely ahead of mercy in terms of needs for some balance changes), I was wondering if it was worth my investment in responding to this thread in case this post was just a troll post . I humbly disagree with what you said, but you’re welcome to project your opinion.

“Projecting your opinion”
Blush emoji
…Considering how well your post lines up with the “checklist” post, even in just this reply, you are entitled to your opinion, but please allow me to humbly ask (as someone new to the forums) if a post that seems like it may be insincere (considering how well it aligns with another poster’s checklist) is a troll post
If that makes sense
My understanding was that the cast time is basically a period of “kill me to negate Ult”. I’ve read enough of your posts to gather that if I don’t see you mention a slow in your post, then you’re saying No Slow.
I don’t mean that as insult - it’s a good thing - despite somehow managing to make it sound like one.
#reworkMercy. <3 Thanks for the great threads, as always.
Why did you edit your post? I already directly quoted what you said in it?..Editing a post after the fact (when I already have the direct quotes in my reply) kind of adds to the confusion about whether or not this is a troll…
It is very hard to take you or any of your posts seriously if they all read like they’ve been written by a dismissive passive aggressive bot with a liking for blush emojis.
Are you an Aria Rose alt or… f-fan?
After seeing various other movements, with some being better than others (#deletebrig)
Actually being inspired by the #deletebrig movement speaks quite a lot… claiming “but we are the good guys” is just an excuse.
I’ve played Mercy since the game launched, she is one of my favourite characters, and by far my favourite support.
Still, I think they made her much more engaging to play with her rework and Valkyrie is a much more fun ultimate to use, and is more healthy for the overall state of the game than Mass Ress ever was.
All of you players making these threads really must stop talking like you speak for all Mercy players, because you don’t.
I humbly disagree
Alongside “Ackchyually” and “To be fair”, it’s my new signature quote.
f-fan
what does this term mean?
Thank you
You are quite welcome

However, unfortunately, this isn’t a thread for such discussion. This is a thread about Reworking Mercy, and possible solutions. This isn’t a post for people to speculate on whether or not they feel other forumers are “trolling” based on how they type text or use emojis. If you want to have such a discussion, I would suggest making your own thread about it. Sadly, this is not the place for such discussions.

I would assure you that I am not a troll. But your perception of who you think I am is yours to have. If you are going to have an assumption, I would also suggest doing a bit of research at those who are making such claims, and seeing how they also act towards others who disagree with them. I think you would find quite a surprise in who is a “troll” on here and who isn’t. But alas, if you think Mercy is fine, then great! I’m not going to force my opinion on you, and if you like her as she is, I have no problem with that either. This is as I’ve stated in the OP, just my opinion.

Well, if you’re going to judge others based on an imaginary checklist made by a well-known inflammatory individual. I’m not sure what to tell you there, other than you would probably need to do some more research on the context of said list, and why one feels the need to make one and personally attack others about it. In my eyes, that aligns a bit more as a troll post, than how one perceives another’s “sense of self-security or lack thereof” through white text. But you’re new right? I’m sure you will make your own decisions based on how others perceive me, and I have no control of that (nor am I concerned with it). You are free to believe whatever you want. As I’ve said before though, it is irrelevant to this discussion. Let’s get back on topic, and thanks again!
