So what you’re saying is you’re not asking for Mercy to be a better hero at all in this thread? The way you responded to me implies so, but you obviously want Mercy to be a stronger hero.

I am reading the same thread as you. However I did not bother to read your reasoning for the return of the worst mechanic I’ve ever seen in a competitive shooter. It’s legitimately dumb to suggest such a thing.

I don’t really think people are upset about OP’s opinion here, because no one is discussing the content of OP’s post. This entire thread has just become a lot of posters talking about how OP has interacted with them inside and outside of this thread and why they find it objectionable.

Although I entered this thread neutrally, after OP accused me of being another user on this thread on an alternate account (despite us sometimes posting at the exact same times and having completely different styles of talking), responded to me extremely sarcastically:

in response to an openended question about why these other posters seem so passionate and steadfast in their disagreement with how OP presents himself/herself, I don’t think the issue here is about mercy mains (I am one too) being suppressed unfairly.

Although xavvy can be passive aggressive, I don’t think you were exactly being positive either. Also they’re not wrong, some of you don’t bring anything new at all to the discussion so it can seem like you are just the same.
I can already hear you screaming hypocrite as xavvy “is just saying the same stuff over”. They are asking for opinions and discussion on a mercy rework, not suggesting their ideas are above everyone else’s so therefore isn’t spam. Is a discussion on the same topic with similar ideas but different people spam? Or just agreeing that something needs to be done, now.

That doesn’t mean she has to be told to switch constantly if you are above diamond. The changes to her heals would have been fine if every other support except zen was buffed in the same patch. Being able to give good healing output is not exactly true for the midfight or any engagement tbh. It’s mediocre at best imo as it can’t outheal anything in the game unless it is at a ridiculous range (reaper sniping people). It seems a bit off that a main healer can’t outheal another main healers primary fire.

Notice the words told to switch, not forced. No one can force you to do anything in this game, which is subjective if it’s good or bad. Heck, even Animetic, one of the arguably best mercys out there is told to switch regularly in her videos and streams. With 60 hps you felt safe if that beam was on you. Now it feels like “oh I got some heals, wait it’s mercys heals and now I’m dead”. At least for me anyway.

Mercy is fine, i’ve been playing her since the beginning on another account and console and she’s in a really good place.

I think everyone feels more safer is mercy is healing them, i feel safe as a tank or dps if mercy is healing me.
