Just played a game. I left it, why? The enemy tank lost one fight, and switched to DVA, the most broken tank in the game currently. And they ended up automatically steamrolling.
Let me explain that to you… A tank was being outplayed as they played jq into rammatra…
I know that is how the game works right now… They made DVA broken so she can be viable as a tank… they made all tanks broken so they can be viable(but DVA more so otherwise she is useless). The tank gets outplayed, and not the counter meta begins.
That is horrible game mechanics and experience. I already am playing dps, the most useless role currently in the game(supports can outheal dps, and tanks can literally not die from the tickle damage we do now to them). What is the game now… run from the tank… just survive… in under no circumstance do any damage because if you stop then the enemy tank(who can’t be slowed or cc’ed any longer) will catch up and kill you and just hope to god your tank is a better tank than yours and your supports are not being targeted by the tank, if they are then turn to do damage to have the raid boss focus on you(threat meter) and then run again till the supports threat meter passes yours against the raid boss… This is MOBA shooter… NOT WoW. If I wanted to play WoW I could switch over to the other game and play it.

Yeah, this game is not fun, but people are addicts.
People leave because there is basically no argument against not to.
If you are frustrated you have toxic teammates that start blaming you for everything, some even straight up telling you to leave, there is virtually no upside/payoff for staying.
In OW1 at least you got a leveling up lootbox, in OW2 there is NOTHING to serve as a consolation price for a bad/unfun match, and Blizz doesn’t seem to undestand that.
Yeah there are hardcore players that never leave because they are only there for the challange, but they are way outnumbered by casual players that just want to have fun and if they don’t have fun they close the game regardless how that impacts their random teammates.
To balance things out a game NEEDS THE GRINDERS that stay in games in order to unlock the game’s content. This game will never be restored until they realize that players simply don’t want to be punching-bags for free

So let me get this straight…
The guy that leaves a match after the first objective is lost, or as the match is getting close to the end, or right after they are killed, or in between the first and second round, or at the hero select screen……etc etc etc….is not to blame?

You say this… but a support can do this for 2 seconds if they burn all their cooldowns. After that the teammate is dead.
A single ana dart heals 56 hp with the dps passive. She fires roughly a single dart a second. With the nade, each dart heals roughly 80 hp for 3 seconds. And this is if she has a 100% accuracy, which never happens. So half those numbers for a 50% accuracy hps.
Ashe has the lowest possible dps/with reload at around 70.
So even if both have only a 50% accuracy, the ashe still outdamages anyone the ana’s pocketing.
Add a single headshot from ashe and there’s no way a single support can save anyone. Outside of kiriko’s suzu, lifeweaver pull or immortality field. All important cooldowns.
If you’re fighting a double pocketed person alone, you’re fighting a 3v1 and they should be able to keep the person alive in that situation.
Dps is the role with highest burst and sustained damage. They are the only ones who can burst the tank down reliably.
Most support heroes are designed to still rely on their dps to do the damage.
If you have trouble, stick with your team and shoot at the targets they do. Or the ones they ping.

CounterWatch sucks but you knew what you were getting into when you selected the tank role. You can’t expect the enemy tank to not switch if their pick ain’t working.
Tanks should keep 0 ult charge when switching though. It wouldn’t solve the inherent issues with 5v5 but at least there would be some kind of price to pay if you wanna switch after the first fight.
I still am looking where I can get a hold of the version of the game that forum members play.
Like I really want to play the game where ana can 1vGod, and where genji does 3 damage per second.
Please Please Please tell me where I play this version of the game, because right now i have to deal with the version of OW2 where burst damage from DPS is a issue
Right after there was a consistent steam roll. If you are playing this game and have no experienced a steam-roll consistently in all the games (either you are doing the steam roll or being steam rolled)… then you must be playing custom.
I haven’t enjoyed it even when winning. I don’t enjoy steam-rolling players, simply because the tank picked the counter. Literally that is the only difference, otherwise it would be a close game and that is a horrible experience. I can’t blame the tank… because the tank wants to enjoy the game just like I am trying to.
Which one of the things that I listed need involve a steamroll??
I know people like to hide behind the idea that people only like to leave “bad matches”…but reality is people leave all the damn time for the dumbest reasons imaginable
So you quit because the enemy didn’t choose to continue playing a hero who was losing to yours? And that’s Blizzard’s fault?

DVa does happen to be overtuned right now, but that’s just the leaver excuse of the day. Leavers will always give you ten reasons why it’s not their fault (it is).

This is why we have leaver penalties. Such a dumb reason to leave. D.va is easy to counter. I bet they won without you.
5v5 is never going to be fixed. They are going to try continuing dividing zero until the whales all leave. Thats all we have to look forward to unless 6v6 is brought back.
