People are already upset that the new archives event will probably be Mercy, Genji, Tracer and Winston. It probably is but what if, It’s not just them

Imagine an event where you get to choose between the talon group (Doom, Moira, Sombra, Baptiste) and the Overwatch group, or maybe jump between both groups as the story progresses.

I know Blizzard doesn’t have the best track record with events but they have always done a really good job with Archives, I don’t think it’s impossible for them to have done something like this.

The thing is that Blizzard has recycled 3 of the same heroes if it really is Winston, Tracer, Genji, and Mercy. I think a lot of people would be upset with that. Especially because the other two modes are available to play. I understand that the 4 don’t really have a lot of story, but they’ve already had events.

Plus this is an encrypted file from Sombra. She has only ever had hacked files when something directly related to her, like Bap being in Talon for his release.

Not even the previous Blackwatch event had something from Sombra, which tied into them fighting Talon forces.

The same glitch that is present in yesterday’s teaser was also present in the Uprising teaser, so it hardly means it is talon based.

It’s more likely that the glitches are just Sombra going through the files reaper stole when he left overwatch

I’m not really expecting it to be anything other than what they’ve presented us, and Im not that disappointed with the hero choices because Tracer and Mercy are the main heroes I played in Uprising, Tracer being the hero I beat Legendary with multiple times.

If it does end up being this group, I won’t be too disappointed, but I know others will since they’ve already been in the event.

I genuinely think people are only upset because they clung onto the Doom Sombra Moira Bap “leak” and set themselves up for disappointment

I had a similar idea, many of us are very eager to see what they do, since so far Archives has been the best event year after year.

Also, title is cringe.

Well, I knew that was fake. That Moira one was so messed up fam lol

I think it’s the main fact that they want new people in the spotlight and not reused ones with lore we already have and skins. They want to see Talon’s side and to understand them since, well, let’s be real. We know nothing on them aside from wanting to do a certain mission. The fact we also have 4 heroes with Talon skins would have worked nicely and the Paris map was a throw off to make people think Bap/Widow.

Well, I sometimes question how they aren’t as observative as most, but yeah, that isn’t Blizz’s fault technically. They took it themselves thinking that.

However, with the way Blizz made the Paris map, Bap being an ex-Talon member and his friendship to Sombra, and the 4 Talon skins, that is a more plausible lead on as to why players expected a Talon mission I feel.

Maybe. It just feels like people were/are so desperate they are willing to accept a really trash comp just to have it now.

Doom, Sombra, widow/Moira (depending on which thread you read), and Bap. Everything about having those 2 CC centric heroes in a horde mode just sounds awful.

I’d like a talon mission, but only if they add a dps that has high damage output like reaper to replace one of them. Reaper isn’t possible since all if the Archive missions are before he turns.

Also only? Any complaint about the event in this forums is coming off ultra cringe and entitled. People throwing shade on literally ANYTHING Blizzard will release about the event no matter what is kinda …

Idk Doomfist sounds fun in a horde mode to me, really depends on how the mission is designed to compliment their kits.

Know what I just realized - Winston didn’t create his barrier until around the fall of the OW HQ, because Reaper is… Reaper. And this mission takes place years before Overwatch’s downfall. Winston hasn’t even created his barrier technology, yet if he is playable, he will have his barrier???

If they are in the archive lore, i dont need anything else.

Everything additional is just a bonus.

But i like tracer, 99% of the forums would probably delete her. :sweat_smile:

I personally like any event that gives the possebility to play every hero.
