The characters always have, and probably always will be the core of what keeps me interested in this game. I’d absolutely love a comic but I have less than 0 faith in their capability to produce lore at this point. We get scraps of information sporadically throughout the year - each year providing a little less than its predecessor.
TLDR a wholeass comic would require writing and Blizz is illiterate.
