Blizz devs want to keep some of the card changes

in one of flats recent videos around the 50 second mark, he talked about how andyb was in emonggs chat talking about a future blog post which would discuss changes they wanted to keep. are there any of the changes you hope are included?

I think most changes were bad except maybe reduced Lucio ult Charge (although Lucio is fine especially in OWL so buffs are questionable).

I really disliked the tank changes Flats proposed.
Hopefully none of them go through.

And the Moira changes were … Well, the Orb changes were useless and the endless healing is op. Fade might be okay but increasing fade cd would ruin the hero so I’d rather not implement it.

Dva being able to fly for longer.
Pharah movement during ult.
Zarya knockback.
Orisa health change was interesting but i don’t feel like it’s a must.
Zen’s discord orb nerf, but allowing it to attach to deployables.

And for the love of God never think about implementing the Lucio ult damage, ever. Thanks

i think the lucio ult damage would be cool, i mean it does make sense. a man landing on your head with an ear shredding speaker would do some damage

Lucio:
I haven’t watched the video beyond the bit where Flats talked about a form of Lucio’s changes making it to Live. I’m not surprised at the possibility of that happening in some form, even if it’s “just” 10% cheaper ult and nowt else.


Zarya:
I’d like to think better Zarya self-knockback’s also on the table. I wouldn’t complain about a damage revert, partial or otherwise, but the extra self-knockback was really cool.


Orisa:
I liked the no movement speed penalty while firing (we’ve got to come up with a snappier term than that…) and lower barrier cooldown. The fact that barrier HP was slashed didn’t feel all that terrible to me, since even on Live it evaporates when sneezed on.

Halt buff was boring. Stop lowering its cooldown and make it a cooler ability in some fashion, please.

HP → armour reinforced my impression that armour’s erratic in how good it is; I’m not sure it’s a great thing that armour can go from denying certain characters of 50% of their damage, while others get a slap on the wrist. A Hanzo headshot doing 245 damage instead of 250 damage? Wow, very nice, thank you armour.


Moira:
Orb changes were clumsy, I would like to see another gating mechanism than the 100 HP one. Fade change was fine as far as I’m concerned. Infinite juice was funny to me, but the sort of change that should stay on Exp and not come over to Live.


Reinhardt:
Maybe charge cancel could make it into OW1. Even the Firestrike stuff.


Baptiste:
I hated the feel of these changes. Please, no. None of this. Leave my Regen Burst alone. If IF is a problem, change IF. Self-healing with nades felt pretty degenerate.

I actually like the idea of Bap healing himself with his own grenades and think it would be an excellent way to ditch Regen Burst as an ability for something more interesting. I also like the Zarya self knockback on her bombs just as long as they don’t boop enemies any more than they already do on live. The Moira fade changes were pretty cool as well. It actually gives her a niche and a risk/reward option. I’m not a fan of the self-harm equaling even more healing thing though. I unironically actually like the strom arrow changes though I would make additional changes there. I’d remove the headshot multiplier for it and slightly reduce the cooldown that way it would be more of a situational/finishing option rather than a blow up whoever I point at one. Widow grapple reset, Lucio ult damage, and Ana self nano actually all seem pretty decent and if nothing allow for more exciting moments in a match. I actually think the Hog damage and hook changes are pretty good but those health changes might just kill the character completely. It relives a lot of pressure on tanks and turns him more into a pick specialist.

At the end of the day you have to consider if you want to encourage this support hero to support their team, or to be a better graviton followup than a doomfist ult.

Honestly i wanna see a lot of the changes go through esspically the tanks. I actually felt like i played the tank role, and i personally think that it can solve the queue problem. Ofc dont keep all changes just some.

They may be fun but if they are not there to fix issues, they will just shape a new meta and end up still being unfun because of that new meta.

Apart from double firestrike and the ult smoosh effect, I have 0 idea why Rein ever got a shield nerf in the first place, and why he couldn’t cancel his own charge when getting stunned brought him out of it. Like clearly there’s a way for him to stop it when he gets stunned, why not let the player have control over stopping short?

Boosters from 2 second to 3 second total duration.

It helps her out so much and I’d love to see it come ow2.

4 seconds +. 25% movement buff is a bit much. 3 seconds with no movement buff would be great to have.
