minus the abysmal mercy changes, i genuinely do not believe that the devs listen to their community & this patch proved exactly that. it’s not like everyone and their mother doesn’t know how HORRIBLE mercy has been since like season 7, yet every season from then on she has been at a stagnant and unviable state for so long, whilst the same meta characters continue to get buffed AS IF THEY NEED IT AT ALL LIKE i will poo in my hands and CLAP if a single human blizzard developer shows any sign of listening to their player base. there is 0 chance LMFAO. this patch literally gave “lalala i cant hear u” i refuse to play a game from a company that constantly spits in our faces as if it’s not written in PLAIN ENGLISH WHAT PPL WANT FROM MERCY LOLLLLLLLLL
It really does feel like Jeff came back to make these changes. For a long time they were doing a great job of adding fun, making heroes feel op like they are supposed to and only nerfing things when they really needed to be. A blanket mobility nerf to support roster seems so out of left field for how they have worked the last few years. Nerfs are never a good solution if a buff somewhere else can solve the issue.

Horrible in pro play, sure. On ladder? Naw, she has been like a 50% winrate hero forever. Not that I agree with her changes this patch.
The Mercy changes are actually proof that the devs listen to their community. You know why they did the changes? Because when they added global 30% heal debuff, all the Mercy mains and otps cried about it and said her healing was bad. Frankly, I thought she was fine.
So, they nerf her movement by a mere 10% and shift some heal numbers around to balance adding flash heal to base kit and an extra flash heal in major perks. And of course the Mercy mains/otps are still crying about it. It’s 10%. It’s really not that bad, especially when she actually does do more burst healing now. I’ve saved people and sustained them way longer than I used to be able to on Mercy with the flash heal changes—exactly what the Mercy mains asked for when they first complained.
They won’t be happy unless she’s OP which she can’t be, because she does not take enough skill to justify it.

Its not that bad , and its not ignoring Mercy mains … there has never, ever been a time, where Mercy players have agreed a change was necessary.
