I was in a 3v3, my widow killed two of them b4 i could hit anybody. Their last was a sombra that hid the whole fight. When the next round started I got kicked b4 I could get to the enemy team on ayuthaya. Please change what registers as inactive. Id also enjoy an option to turn off inactive timer in custom games so I could play hide an seek type games with friends.
it’s because of the timer being tied to damage you deal, which is freaking stupid
This bull makes the game developers look retarded, I get kicked in Quick Play game matches every so offen because the enemy team is way better then me and Im not inactive I even damage them and I get kicked.
I belive the retards thought well this is a sure way to make sure no one goes AFK even to use the damn restroom which is between 4 to 8 minutes me round 10 minutes because I take longer when washing my hands to make sure they’re clean…

As of 2/25/2020 … You can still be kicked for inactivity even when you’re active. I first noticed this bug when your character was away from the group when they were up front defending ahead of a choke point, leaving me to defend the objective. I was moving around and ready, but never fired a shot and was kicked for inactivity even though I was defending the objective.
THIS BUG STILL EXISTS, OR ELSE IT’S A PLAYER EXPLOITING KICK-HACKS. MAJOR MATCH LEVEL EXPLOIT/BUG.
Blizzard seems to ignore these very needed updates the same way Rockstar ignores the very needed updates to their GTA Online game. I will not be buying either of their next games because of their lacking history of support/repairs. Lesson to be learned here.

There must be hacks now… Inactivity kicks are occurring while shooting opponents in the face with weapons. WTF guys!?

Same thing has happened to me several times. The only thing more frustrating than being kicked out of the game for no reason whatsoever is the fact that there is legitimately no efficient way to communicate with Blizzard about these in game issues. You’re just directed to a forum where people who are similarly being f***ed over can vent to each other. It is putting me off buying OW 2 when it comes out honestly.
Just happened to me in Junkenstein. Wasn’t even doing a bad job playing. Now I’m all worried it’s going to happen enough times to give me the “leaver” label.
I just had this happen today. I just got removed from a Junkenstein Game for being inactive, when I was active the whole time, even moving and fighting while the timer was counting down. This was on the Playstation.
