New animations are fine, the hero models are made with specifications to accept a wide variety of animation as the art department could then make any sort of emote or highlight into or whatever.
You’ve got it backwards, they’re not creating new models as new models can then break any of the many different animations already in use.
no I dont. im NOT saying new HERO models im saying new assets. everything mentioned was a new asset. if blizz needs to make a new model or animation like mercy valk for a rework they will. if it is they wont be able to emote during it like bastion or mercy
Okay, but lets say they make a new animation for Torb or DVA, how would DVa’s rocket assets or Torb’s lava assets interfere with that? The assets would be in the game files but they wouldn’t be opened.
I’m not saying the game engine is going to run out of space, I mean things like animations clipping or breaking with different models or how too many different skins need to all be updated.
Well, do they? Or did they find “huh, actually there’s an animation + particle effect which all skins had to comply with anyway and that wing animation can work for Valkyrie”.
Let’s pretend it isn’t a problem: I don’t like playing bunker as a Bastion main, and I certainly don’t like playing against it either. Wouldn’t you rather have something that’s more independent and engaging?
