No, it was when the fall-off were in PTR, she tried them and said that were pretty good, then she went to live and played competitive,she just got furious and said that bastion 2.0 took one step forward and two steps back. Yes, Bastion 2.0 made his survivability a little better, but the spray and pray changes were so bad. Right now she is happy with the falloff changes and the meta changing because this makes the spray and pray changes less awful.

So she thinks heā€™s balanced now. End of story. There is no need for a rework. As now she finds him balanced and he does the job he is supposed to do

How is acharacter balanced if it has 0.09% pickrate in grandmasters? Thatā€™s how awful he is.

Pickrate doesnā€™t matter dude. He has a low pickrate because a lot of GM players donā€™t know how flipping good bastion is

Then the best players must know that Bastion is good, I donā€™t see him be played in the League, the only time he was played was in Junkertwon and after some matches people just found how to counter him easily.

Kolorblind is one player in a very high ELO. The fact that there is pretty much only one Bastion main in GM (not even T500 anymore) should tell you somethingā€¦

Just because one player is half decent on a hero doesnā€™t mean the hero is balanced.

His Sentry buff was basically useless. At those ranges, youā€™re only hitting about 15-30% of your shots anyway (source). If youā€™re only hitting maybe 5 bullets per second, the extra 2 damage per bullet isnā€™t really going to do anything for you.

But the bastion 3.0 idea will make bastion absolutely BUSTED. It will make the game severely unfun as you can spawn camp easier with bastion 3.0

Yeah, Iā€™m sure thatā€™s the problemā€¦ The people that play enough to be GM just donā€™t know how good Bastion isā€¦

What Bastion 3.0 idea? There are lots of rework ideas

Blizzard can use this ideas or not, we just want Bastion reworked in a way that he still have turret form and tank mode.

Ironclad rework
  • Configuration Sentry
    • Reduce maximum spread to 2Ā° (Currently 3Ā°)
    • Bloom added to weapon
      • Initial accuracy of 1.25Ā°, bloom starts after 0.3 seconds of continuous fire
      • Reaches 2Ā° after 0.3 seconds of additional continuous fire
    • Headshots added
    • Ammo count reduced to 200 (Currently 300)
  • Ironclad
    • Damage resistance removed
    • Now allows Bastionā€™s self-repair to over-heal him with 75 armor
    • This armor cannot be healed by other healers, only Bastion
      • The over-heal is ā€œorangeā€ armor, similar to Torbā€™s armor packs
  • Self-repair
    • No longer consumes resources when it cannot heal Bastion
    • Startup delay reduced to 0.1 seconds (Currently 0.5 seconds)
    • Able to reload while repairing
    • Healing resource increased by 25%
      • Allows for 375 healing (Currently 300)
  • Configuration Tank
    • No self damage
    • Tread sounds reduced slightly
    • Adds 75 normal armor
    • Instantly applies 75 Ironclad armor (in addition to the normal armor)

A different Ironclad rework
  • Configuration Sentry
    • Reduce maximum spread to 2Ā° (Currently 3Ā°)
    • Bloom added to weapon

    • Able to reload while repairing
    • Applies Ironclad for duration of repair
  • Configuration Tank
    • No self damage
    • Tread sounds reduced slightly
    • Adds 150 armor

Tank on E
  • General changes
    • Being stunned during a transformation now instantly completes the transformation
  • Configuration Recon
    • Reload time reduced to 1.5 seconds (Formerly 2 seconds)
  • Configuration Sentry
    • Headshots added
    • Bloom added to weapon
      • Initial accuracy of 1.25Ā°, bloom starts after 0.3 seconds of continuous fire
      • Reaches a maximum of 2Ā° after 0.3 seconds of additional continuous fire
    • Ammo reduced to 250
    • Reload time increased to 2.5 seconds (Formerly 2 seconds)
  • Configuration Tank (E Ability)
    • Damage reduced to 120 (Formerly 205)
      • Splash damage now ranges from 40 - 85 damage (Formerly 70 - 145)
    • Splash radius reduced to 2 meters (Formerly 4 meters)
    • Tank tread sounds reduced
    • 3 shots per clip
    • Ammo reloads over time similar to Doomfistā€™s gun
      • Shot timer and reload timer are independent, meaning he can reload shots even while shooting. This gives an effective 5 shots to begin with, and then one shot every 2 seconds afterwards.
    • Ammo reloads at 1 shell per 2 seconds
    • No self damage
    • Transformation time reduced to 1 second (Formerly 1.5 seconds)
  • Ironclad (Passive)
    • Persistent Ironclad is removed from all modes (Sentry and Tank)
    • Ironclad is now bound to Self-repair
    • Ironclad can now be activated even in Recon mode
  • Self-repair
    • No longer consumes resources when it does not heal Bastion
    • Starts healing instantly instead of having an 0.5 second delay
    • Applies 25% Ironclad for duration of repair
  • Overclock (Ultimate Ability)
    • Adds 150 armor to all forms
      • Alternatively, gives passive 35% Ironclad in Sentry/Tank, and 20% Ironclad in Recon. These are not bound to repair, they are passive.
    • Instantly reloads all ammo for all forms
    • Reduces transformation time by half
    • Lasts 8 seconds
  • Overclock (Recon mode)
    • Increases movement by 18% (From 5.5 m/s to 6.5 m/s)
    • Increases rate of fire by 50% (From 8 r/s to 12 r/s)
    • Reduce reload speed by 50% (From 1.5 s to 1 s)
  • Overclock (Sentry mode)
    • Grants CC immunity
    • Increases rate of fire by 16% to (From 30 r/s to 35 r/s)
  • Overclock (Tank mode)
    • Recharge rate decreased to 1 second (Normally 2 seconds)
    • Increase direct hit damage to 205
    • Reverts splash damage and radius to their current values

Thereā€™s a few more, but those are the ones that I likeā€¦

If you donā€™t want to go with a full rework, then revert his spread back to what it was before his rework. Not headshots, just his spread and bloom. Start at 1Ā°, bloom to 2Ā°.

Heā€™s made changes to the one in his thread tooā€¦ Not sure if the changes are in his thread or not, but he posted a version 2 here a day or so ago. Itā€™s still a little strong imo, but not as much as the first one.

Iā€™m curious to know if these are your opinions, or if youā€™re just repeating what Kolor said because heā€™s good at Bastion, and thus must be the most knowledgeable person on the planet on what Bastion needs to be viable.

I played in the custom game where kolor made a mock-up bastion 3.0 and it is busted. So a lot of the opinions are from good points by kolor but yes, I agree with her

Although pickrate isnā€™t the only thing that matters you canā€™t claim people donā€™t play him because they donā€™t know heā€™s good. People donā€™t play a hero for a reason.

He has a negative winrate in bronze and silver, the only places heā€™s picked more than 1%. Anywhere else if you pick him you can feel the judgmental stares and more often than not someone tells you to switch. Whether or not ā€œthey donā€™t know heā€™s awesomeā€ he needs a buff so they know it. BTW from experience heā€™s countered too easily too hard by the people who heā€™s supposed to counter (tanks).

Which 3.0? There are a lot of ideas and combinations of them.
