Bastion is being forgotten

Yeah I saw that. I was reading most of it as well to kill time

Just has burst, mobility and is great for dealing with flankers like genji/tracer

So there’s a good reason to pick him

Just lost a game because I had to reposition with Bastion. The game was about to remove me for using Sentry mode.

True, although do keep in mind how much of a hyped carry he is.

I think ideally he’d get a minor frontal shield again (so his balance can assume him to be shielded instead of having this huge power spike when he is), significantly less spread and a substantial extra transformation time.

In total, he’d commit to changing form, maybe even add a brief CD. In turret mode he’s a monster, but cannot get out easily without effectively giving up a spot entirely.

1.5 seconds transform is a good enough trade off if we increase it. It’s 1 second right now.

I think this is a very good idea. Why have the argument of shield versus no shield when he can always have a shield in the equation.

I’m personally mixed on the shield idea. Do we want him to have more survival, or do we want him to get his amazing pre-rework TTK back in Sentry?
I don’t want to see the devs give us MORE sustain and reduce our output even more, but that’s where my views lie.

I wonder from here, if the developers feel that his damage output in Sentry is where they want it to be, or if they also feel he needs something more.

They just need to adjust a few values on his current kit, add in some flexibility in recon, and address bugs (like the first shot bug in tank mode).

Tank mode is now weaker than it was before Iron Clad. That isn’t right. Tank Mode’s Iron Clad should be 30%. Fox the first shot bug.

Recon Mode: should have 25% Iron Clad and let him heal while shooting.

Sentry mode keeps 20% Iron Clad, but needs the spread reduced by at least 25%. Not his original, but not as widened out as before.

Make those adjustments first and see how he plays.

Does anyone else not like playing solider because you are so use to using Recon Bastion’s gun? It feels sooo much better imo.

But I am probably one of a handfull of Bastion mains that enjoys recon. :slight_smile:
