Ball needs a nerf

Ball is only good because he legitimately can ignore the DPS passive good over the rest of the Tanks. Plus, Ball is the Tracer Tank with Tracer being popular

I agree. Ball is one of the highest skill ceiling and floor heroes in the game, second only to Doomfist among tanks; same applies to their fun level, when one gets good them. Heroes like these should be handled very carefully when buffed and nerfed.

Every doomfist main who reads that will lose their mind

So, so many bugs, its a joke really. Handle with care?

his primary is WAY better. i kill almost any 250hp hero that would normally be too far to finish. ball should not be able to duel 250hp heroes so easy. you dont even need to slam on them, boop and primary+melee is enough for almost every hero without escape or selfheal.

i do see ball frequently now but i am an experienced sombra player. still lately im like meh since ive been sombra forever so i dont switch unless ball kills me as ashe or widow then im like ok then its on. however this season there have been a lot of games where im like oh well let him kill me maybe somebody else can figure it out… im tired of being the only solution

Zen got nerfed pretty hard, with the HP changes he is very counterable. If he is nerfed again he will be unplayable.

I’m not trying to be rhetorical or pull a ā€œGOTCHA!ā€ or anything but what about Ball makes him too strong?

I am noticing he is a lot stronger and I can’t figure out what change made that so.

More health plus the self heal passive was a massive buff to his sustain.

Jesus I don’t know how I forgot about the self-heal passive :man_facepalming:
Thank you for the sanity check. Clearly my brain is not working lol

He’s one of the few heroes who actually benefit from it along with Sombra.

No good ball sits around waiting for the health passive we grab megas. Ball needs buffs if anything bc once they tune this dps passive he will go right back to being D tier

also remember that hes always fleeing so the dps passive never really gets applied to him compared to other tanks

i remember somewhere someone saying this that dive tanks are kind of strong since the ability to leave the fight fast and regroup while road and mauga just sit there

basically dps passive again heh

Two main things:

First: Ball works EXTREMELY well with Tracer, and tracer is really broken right now. Ball is like the best diving partner in the world for her, their mobility both blends really well together. He also optionally works really well with Genji, and Genji is also strong atm. Same with Echo.

Most people agree that Ball is a reaction to the high ranked meta in other roles, not necessarily the cause of it (I.E. people pick ball to support other strong things, not vice-versa).

Second: Apparently mobility is really strong right now. I think that it’s because A. dodging shots makes it harder for the DPS passive to murder you and B. adding hp is disproportionately really good for people who move very quickly.

100%, people are overreacting. Literally any time Ball sees ANY consistent play, everyone’s immediately like ā€œOMG BALL OP!!!ā€ Like, he was the worst tank by far in S8. I don’t actually think he’s THAT good right now, and the devs listed the top tanks by win rate as D.va, Winston, and Sigma (or Queen for lower ranks).

I agree with you, as usual. Definitely couldn’t have said it better myself because I was thinking about asking OP if there is any hero in the game that does NOT need nerfed. :joy:

He is the worst tank in the game atm , sombra makes him useless.

How when Sombra exists literally to make you switch.

We need to delete her hack then we can talk.

honestly this is the best spot he has been in since basically forever, if you are gud with him, and still counterable.

I’m a rat player and a zen specialist on support, people saying it’s hard to hit things on Zen are either not using volley or don’t play the hero right.

Sending a volley head-level in the general direction of people isn’t hard, nor is it against someone in CQC/near mid-range level imo. If anything, surviving on Zen is a harder skill to acquire than hitting your shots.

Some people just overstate the skill he requires to push low heal support agenda. Realistically he shoots cannonballs from the furthest of backlines with an aoe ult and two autoaim abilities

He’s literally a giant kovacs aim training ball. He has so many counters and it doesn’t matter that he doesn’t die because he can’t do much on his own anyways
