I did mention in the beginning that this was a rant as well. Yes Ball doesn’t protect his team as well as Reinhardt can but him stalling the point until his team respawns is the issue. Reinhardt melts like hot butter once the shield is gone. Ball can just keep spinning.
Nah, back when Doomfist was extremely problematic and it took entire teams to focus on him for an entire round to get a kill on higher rank games, people said “skill issue”. I feel like this case is quite similar. When a hero becomes extremely unfun to play against and too easy and fun to play as, “skill issue” ain’t gonna cut it, might wanna listen to what people are saying rather than sticking to your perspective only.

And many other things. As someone who tanks as almost exclusively as ball, honestly im not really going to take your opinion seriously because you clearly dont know what you are talking about. Hes one of the most vulnerable tanks in the game despite his hp.
If him “spinning” is a problem, which honestly is the most novice thing ever for any ball player to do. Is too much for you, you deserve to lose. Because its easily one of the most simple things to counter.
Most of those abilities don’t even properly punish him, some don’t even cancel his hook. You make it quite obvious that you play him as a tank exclusively, but we’re talking about playing against him here.
Accusing of someone being novice for not being able to punish a tank that’s clearly way too forgiving for a tank is a bit ironic. But I think this entire thread is a rant and a request to reduce his HP pool, we’re okay with him being an extremely mobile tank.
His hook is worthless for “spinning” if hes got any movement impairment because he cant hit top speed. And he becomes an easy to hit fat target. Just say you want him in the dumpster if you want to paralyze his only thing he has. Be honest.

Junkrat Trap: doesn’t work in midair.
Mei wall: can’t stop ball from flying over it.

Ana’s sleep: only lasts as long as no one touches him or 3.5 seconds.
Literally saying he should be a mobile tank but less forgiving by reducing his HP. He has the green hps to back it up… You’re taking this too personally. The character is clearly made for memes and off-tanking and now with Sombra changes (it WILL take a while for players to get used to it and pick the hero back up again, she was the only actual counter to ball and half of her mains left the game at this point) he’s performing too well.
If you’re enjoying this hero, you’d be able to make it work regardless!

Kind of Agree with Moon on this. I see Ball and Doom twice as much now that Sombra is easier to see coming a mile away. I’m not saying the character outputs too much damage I’m saying that he has way too much stall potential for a highly mobile tank.
Brigs shield also blocks los of adaptive shield and he gets no charge for her or anyone behind her.
They dont like this level of thinking. They think by default he has over 1000 hp. Not temporarily over 1000 hp in ideal situations.
He can cancel it at any moment into any of his abilities
Why are you acting like Hammond is the only one that’s just bulky anyway? Like big whoop he gets a bunch of temporary health. D.va eats tons of damage, Winston drops a bubble that’s immune to all debuffs, Orisa makes herself immune to debuffs and super bulky, Sigma eats tons of damage and has a shield, I just don’t see what you’re trying to prove here

I main ball and as soon as I run into competent enemies I have to swap…and no they don’t need to be sombra to do it
The average player doesn’t look behind them and that’s why it’s so easy to run a train on them
They cant prove anything. Thats the problem. They have an axe to grind. But they only got playdoh.
D.va eats but is still susceptible to beams I.E Zarya, Symmetra, and Moria but she doesn’t gain anything from being surrounded by the enemy. Doomfist has other abilities he can jump into sure but it doesn’t give him 100 shields and 75 for every other enemy in a 8 meter radius Block makes you a stationary target. Winston has to play inside a tissue bubble until his Jump comes back. Sigma is slow and is easily taken apart by high mobility.
My point is No other tank gets to hide their critbox spin around the point and gain 475 Overshields on top of his already impressive 450 Base health with 175 armor and 150 shields and the 100 base over health when pressing the button with a cherry on top of up too if there is 4 enemies near him giving him 1125 hp.
Hammond gets a lot of health but can’t stop any damage or debuffs coming his way and can’t block for his team outside of standing in front of them.
The other tanks have their weaknesses as you said, are you implying Hammond has none? Because if so, then you’re wrong flat out.
Sombra was his biggest weakness, to the point it was an unhealthy interaction. The takeaway from that sentence is the word “biggest” and learning that it’s definition is not the same as “only”
Sombra was the easiest way to deal with him, and she still has the capability to deal with him. Sombra was a crutch, now you gotta learn how to walk without the crutch beneath you.
First I play Soldier 76 and Cassidy more than Sombra. I just don’t mesh with the characters play style. Wrecking Ball has splitting potential its what a lot of the other tanks don’t have to divert enemy attention into two separate engagements. I’m not calling Wreaking Ball Overpowered or I’m calling out the insane high stall potential and mobility that he has.
I’m a Sombra main, and logical to boot. I think Blizzard catering to whiners is a huge long term disservice to the game we all enjoy.
…so no, I don’t think Sombra getting nerfed because people cried is justification for any other character getting the same.

He gets a lot of health, so what? Teams do a lot of damage, just shoot him. If that’s not enough, your tank should be stunning him or otherwise stopping him from getting kills.
Also the fact he’s crit immune during roll mode doesn’t even apply to a ton of characters that can’t crit in the first place
