Bad performance on game for the past couple weeks

The game has been fine this entire year and even through the Anniversary Event. Something happened recently that has caused a serious performance drop. The game stutters and has FPS drops a few times a match at least and sometimes is just downright choppy during huge team fights.

This game had issues like this in the past during the first 1.5 years of release but they always seemed to be fixed. I hold out hope the next update magically fixes this again but the game is awful right now.

While it is possible the issues may resolve on their own, I would find it more proactive to try these steps first. These standard tips can help resolve most Overwatch FPS drops:

• Reset Overwatch’s Video Settings (Go to Options > Video, press backspace)
• Update your graphic card driver.
• Reset your graphic card driver settings.
• In drastic cases you may need to reinstall the driver and update to the most recent driver for your card. Remember to use Display Driver Uninstaller to completely clean out your old driver. Then download the most recent NVidia or AMD for your system.
