I actually didn’t mind one-tricking Ram in season six. Both barrier and block did just fine in stymying Bastion, imo. However, there were very few Sombras running around at my level. I’m not sure I want to deal with tank CC plus Ana’s sleep dart plus Sombra’s hack as a regular thing. I’ll be in one of the other queues for a while.

My favourite part was where they tested replacements for Hack silence but decided that stuff like a damage reduction debuff was too oppressive compared to an ability lock-out.
Bro I stopped tanking back in OW1.
Only started again because Junker Queen is fun as hell. So I force her whenever I play tank, unless I feel like the enemy comp will let me show the full power of Dva. Which is basically never, even in QP.
So. DPS / Support queue it is, unless I feel like invoking the power of abs and axes.

It was always a constant battle to play d.va in any capacity other than “that one fight” before the counters come lol.

it’s almost like it works better with 2 tanks, it’s so much worse rn with new sombra/mei + bastion/soldier/ana/zen/anything, you get shredded and you can barely move

This is such a dumb ignorant comment to make. You’re implying that tanking in OW1 and 2 are no different when the reality is they are vastly different experiences. Sounds like you have 10 lifetime hours on tank.
Shows how little you know. OW1 tanks had more power. A little more health and small ability buffs is not more powerful than tank synergy.

Yeah it is getting old. That’s why we keep making posts about it. And honestly tank posts are RARE because nobody plays it anymore.
This isn’t why tanks are bad. They’ve gotten progressively worse every season because blizz keeps buffing supports and dps and does nothing to tanks but treat it like the rotating buff role where they keep all tanks F tier and then give us 1-2 viable tanks every season.
The game has just never been balanced for solo tank. Balancing for solo tank would mean it’s the hardest role in the game to counter, since a 1 person role in the front line is by default the easiest thing to counter, balancing it would mean taking steps to reduce the power counters have over tanks, but they are doing nothing about the plethora of anti tank heroes and abilities.
