I AM a long time Diablo Fan, as well as original Warcraft (still have the CD’s around here somewhere). Yep, not a fan of “Diablo Immortal”, I actually thought it was an early/late April Fools joke…

Dunno. I like the concept, don’t like that it’s mobile. I think it would have been more well recieved if:
- They made it an expansion to D3, since it’s basically the same engine/graphics.
- Add the Druid class to it as well.
- No mobile, or at least make it PC and console available too. I don’t want to play a game like Diablo on my phone bruh.
- At least tell us you’re working on either D4 or remastered D2/D1. Where are we at on those, huh?
I think it’s a good addition to the lore aspect, but it’s not much to the game mechanics, and as far as a ‘big announcement’ goes, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… no…
Sorry, I know you worked hard on it, seemingly, and I’m sorry we made you cry Cheng. I wish things could have been better presented, and better received overall.

It’s not yet time to make OW fans despair yet. It will eventually come like it did for C&C and now Diablo. Those two franchise are atleast 20 years old and OW is just infant compare them.

I am a long time Diablo fan and sure I was hoping for D4 or equivalent.
I’m very unlikely to get Immortal because I don’t intend to get a phone powerful enough to support the experience nor really play games on my phone.
With all that said, I think it’s fine. It’s kinda upsetting that I won’t really get to enjoy this diablo experience but the game looks like it fits the world.
They have said multiple times that they have other Diablo projects in the works and I’m sure one of those projects are the projects for me but I’m not gonna get mad that they are making something extra.
If this was the only Diablo experience planned then I guess I could understand the upset but there is still a secret Diablo project roaming around in the background right now so I’ll hold onto my outrage ready for that

There’s nothing to feel bad about, Diablo 4 wasn’t canceled to make Immortal. As mentioned several times, there are more then one Diablo team.
I would be more excited for Immortal if I had a bigger phone or a tablet, but I will definitely still try out a demo. Don’t judge until you play it.

Yeah, but Blizzard did state that next Diablo game is not going to be announced at Blizzcon.
The vid actually had over 300 thousand dislikes at some point. Youtube is doing something weird there.

You can’t even blame the devs for Immortal. Blizzard is owned by Activision now. That’s why there’s microtransactions in everything they make now, their corporate overlords demand it. It was only a matter of time before they made a mobile game to tap into that market, too. I know they have Hearthstone, but it’s kinda a hybrid between traditional and mobile game.
