Any dps gun could be approached the same way in reverse for healing. There is nothing that says healing turrets couldn’t be a thing.

It’s a game you’ll need to get used to. It’s notorious for being extremely hard to pick up and play for the first time because of it’s amount of content. Once you get out of the begging missions you’ll love the game. Just ask in region/recruiting for someone to help you out with the game as a first timer. The community’s probably the best so you’ll have no problem finding a person willing to help.

Pretty sure beating teammates with a rein hammer to heal will cause some confusion.
Oh I play a lot of games. With very few exceptions all expansions or DLCs cost tons of money. Be it Fallout games (No, I will never even consider buying FO 76, I mean actual Fallout games), Divine Divinity 2, Crusader Kings 2, Stellaris, XCOM 2 or many more…
OW is my first multiplayer shooter since Q3 Arena though. Or Multiplayer anything, really. I don’t generally like playing games with others, because 99% of people online are toxic, it seems. The reason I play this is because I love the characters;
I got into OW after reading the Christmas comic, and i bought the game as a way of supporting a developer chosing to make a poster character openly gay. It then turned out I also loved the game itself.

I’m sorry, but how do you know how she will pan out and play against tanks WHEN WE CAN’T PLAY HER YET.
“CC” - she does the same thing as Pharah. She boops. It’s not that bad.
Even when Blizzard gives us things for free, people still find ways to complain. Holy moly.

While I agree that the support and tank classes are in need of more heroes, I’d like to think of it this way.
- DPS players have been very patiently awaiting a new hero, so I think it was nice of Blizzard to finally get them one.
- We know that since the new hero is a DPS, that the next hero (Echo probably) would be either a support or a tank. I’m hoping she’s a support.
- If Echo is a support, chances are a new tank would be announced after, looking at how they’ve been announcing heroes in the past.
Either way, we’ll have to see, but do remember that we still have yet to see Echo and chances are that she will be either a tank or a support hero.

Fun fact, they tried it with Symmetra. As you can guess, it didn’t work.
well you have a multimillion company produce 2-3 maps and heroes a year. That is supper ultra good…sacrcasm.

They could charge 20 dollars per map.
Well, I think ol’ Liz looks awesome, so there’s that. And she seems to check a number of boxes that a lot of people have been complaining about. Plus the Deadlock Gang is no longer just a name, and McCree’s got a friend that he’s sending Overwatch’s way. Maybe she’s a support.
So there ya go. Overall I am pleased – new hero looks cool and the short was great.

From my experience, that’s how games seem to be in general.
Not really sure why so many people are getting upset that we’re getting 1 DPS hero after almost 2 years of Tank/Support heroes. Most games have their tanks and supports outnumbered. I guess the damage roles in other games are just split up a little (like how we used to have Offense/Defense) so no one seemed to notice.

This wouldn’t be a problem if they kept the defense and offense a separate category.
But no, everyone who doesnt take damage or heal it is DPS according to the playerbase. Apparently roles don’t make a difference.

You mean they WILL eventually. Propably not for a map but look for the blizzcon tickets…they will get a reason to increase the profit.
It would make far more sense to separate anchor/main tank and off tank. the distinction between offense and defensive dps heros was trivial.
(same goes for main heals and off heals being very clearly not interchangeable…)
compare the dps pool to the number of viable main tanks. viable main healers?

Like the last two year 3 heroes have been release. Moira was release in 2017, so 3 heroes in 2018 like last year.
So you got 2 map. 3 heroes 1 event in one year.
How about you read the investor report of the profit overwatch has made, than go and checkout what you can realize with that kind of money and than come back to say something.
