As a Mercy main…

And that’s a perspective I’m perfectly okay with :man_shrugging:

And I’m happy with that. I wasn’t a fan of having my opinion being “invalid” because I don’t meet X criteria to qualify as a “Mercy Main”.

Lol… I just Imagined Mercy’s design as a jenga tower and GA being the bottom pieces. And now devs are taking bottom pieces to see how much they can remove before she crumbles :sweat_smile:

What I asked is the healer population not be discounted from even getting a seat at the table to see what the supports are doing.

Nobody wants to see Mercy juggle?

Nobody in the game wants to see one of the most popular characters in one of the most played characters in OverWatch get some representation from the community. Because we’re not Dpsing?

Some people forget OverWatch is built on the backs of the casual community not the pro league the pro league is on its way out I don’t watch the pro league because the pro league it’s quite literally the small minority of the community. The games of an everyday player comes nowhere close to the coordination and skill of the players they’re watching.

Why would I be interested in a league that is basically playing an entirely different game compared to us.

And myself and a US PS player with#ss*, most likely the largest community in the OverWatch community, and yet there is absolutely no representation for the PlayStatio
:moneybag::moneybag:

It is not that “nobody wants to see it”.

It is that majority does not want to see it. Also many Mercy mains (that would be glad to watch her in a hands of a OWL pro) just do not care about OWL since the mockery of Mercy players that blizzard condoned on the OWL live stream.

Believe it or not, but yes. Pew-pewing and clicking heads is more interesting to an average viewer.

There is a reason why Mercy streamers have smaller communities than Damage streamers. The target audience is just smaller.

Well I have my own issues with OWL and why I do not watch it. It failed miserably because of several reasons, that Blizzard never wanted to acknowledge and now I think it is beyond redemption.

Technically it is the same game. And it works with League, even tho they have different rules than their ladder have. But it is done way better as an esport than OWL ever was. The fact that there were almost no Mercy in OWL (outside of MOTH meta) is not why it failed.

I don’t get it tho?

You would like the OWL console? I am not sure I understand what you mean by that, can you clarify this?

Well, controller will be always not optimal to play shooters. This is just a fact. That is why shooters on consoles have to introduce things like aim assist and other stuff… I do not understand tho what you mean by “suck the fun out of the game”? Can you elaborate more on this?

Yes. Mercy always was kind of outcast of support community, that was conditioned through years, that you must contribute damage as support.

True supports are mostly absent from this game, scared away over time. Can’t blame them for leaving.

Because you supposed to strive to be like that, to imitate them. I do not have any desire to become a streamer or pro gamer, despite them being promoted literally in every game-related place, but I can totally see many players looking at them and thinking “I want to be like them!”.

Enough to keep the league alive?

Probably. As introvert I am not “qualified” enough to talk about social trends, but judging by how many people want to become youtubers and streamers, such examples do have an effect.

I dunno how they thought being able to literally boomerang every 2 seconds was OK.

Then when your entire characters kit revolves around being a proxy help and having very little defense on her own. She needs something to stay alive.

Reducing her to a pocketbot is not engaging it simply removes skill expression. Many of her choices become binary.

Safe/ not safe

Rather then the risk/reward bAlancing act

Its not because its failing as it is.

Heals reverted :rofl::rofl::joy::rofl::rofl:

Heals got reverted in the next patch on April 11 :joy::joy::joy:

Really? Well, you can always rely on developers to screw things up even further.

Nah they didn’t fully revert her movement nerfs.
But down from 67hps to 55hps like it should be under half health.

So, they just made Mercy overall even weaker, as expected. 55 hps on constant basis weren’t enough in many cases, and now you need teammate to be half-dead to heal with that rate lmao.

Thank god, could be my patchnotes
