The damage output of hanzo is ridiculous and his shield break is massive. I don’t think the damage should be so high for a sniper. Idk what hanzo’s issue is but hit arrow hitbox is already very forgiving, we shouldnt need him doing massive amount of damage.

How often do you see any of the characters aside from maybe Mcree now with right click, and Widow (obviously HS potential) do that as consistent as Hanzo? Let alone be picked even remotely close to as much as Hanzo?

hanzo would be better if he was more like an actual sniper so had fov zoom when he fully draws his bow. like ashes ADS. this way you could make his projectiles smaller and his aiming more precice and it would make him more vunerable when sniping like widow and ashe are when they ADS.
that would cut down on his spamming, make him more vulnerable at close rage and require hanzo players to be more accurate.
currently he gets all the perks of a sniper with a normal fov (and requiring massive projectile hit box) making him good at all ranges and it encourages spamming. i think it’s just lazyness on the devs that they didnt add this in the first place.
I’ll take storm arrows which require consecutive aim for all 6 arrows over scatterarrow which could delete a full health off tank 400hp in one shot, that was beyond dumb, especially for a 10s cd ability.
But yeah the downside to storm is that it can be spammed down chokes etc. Again, I’ll take that over being deleted as a tank in 1 shot.
Snipers should be bad at killing tanks so there is a reason to pick a non-sniper whenever GOATs dies.
If Scatter was removed because it was too easy to use, unsure how Storm solves the issue of spamming damage for ease. Rather the opposite.
What I’d like is a Piercing Arrow that ricochets & over-penetrates with so much power that it’s single shot and regenerates like a Swift Strike. I think 3-4 ricochets before stopping and no limit to how many can be killed by it if health and/or heads align.
I want to use Sonic Arrow more effectively, by nailing a target (or line of them) around corners.
I want to create short-term barriers by having that arrow bounce between 2 objects twice to assist my escape.
I want to shoot the wall in front of me and at least damage the enemy attempting to flank, and of course the ricochet was banked correctly (and I’m willing to take self damaging arrows for this).
Meh he needs some sort of e ability. Yes it is a crutch and bad players abuse it popping it instantly and rushing you in a close quarters fight but instead of getting rid of it I’d rather see it nerfed;
Nerf arrow size for both storm and normal arrow.
Decrease storm arrow to four shots
Reduce storm damage to 50 damage
Keep headshots but increase multiplier like widow so it still does 140 damage
Possibly give it a 0.6 second start up animation before hanzo can move
Just make it take more skill. Don’t ruin it for truly good players.
I would rather have scatter arrow back. There, I said it. And those Hanzos you see that only get storm arrow kills? Yeah, that’s basically me. I suck at Hanzo.
He never was meant to be a tank buster. Scatter was removed because it could one-shot Orisa & Zarya, as well as bringing other tanks to <200 health. Storm arrow is now having similar problems.
No. No it isn’t. They just made him good at it by accident.
There is, if you are a bad sniper.
Sniper requires good aim to kill with a slow RoF.
A non sniper class like S76 can output steady damage even with bad aim.
McCree with FtH and Flashbang is good at short range.
More importantly Hanzo is weak against high mobility units and flankers. Sombra \ Genji \ Tracer.
- Sombra can prevent him using abilities or running away
- Genji can Deflect
- Tracer can bait and recall.
Game is and should be balanced around the top. And snipers are good at the top. Last meta was double sniper, and console is still sniper heavy with McCree and Ashe sneaking in too. The massive impact of snipers on games that aren’t 3x3 shuts a lot of other heroes out.

The hero with the highest skill ceiling in the game should be rewarding and Hanzo is that.
That is true, and it is justified to give other DPS a better show. But probably the best way to do that is to clutter the environment.
I can’t understand why anyone would want to nerf their main?!? Totally defeats the point of playing them.
I was a main hanzo to, but now i dont want play hanzo… he is on the same broken lvl of heros like genji.
