I play reaper alot and not much has changed. You still have to time your wraiths to not get flashbanged or hooked and you still need to avoid snipers on high ground.

He became a better counter to Mei. I used to be able to freeze and shoot him, or just Killing him with my icicles, but he can heal so much now that he is kinda scary to fight with in a close to medium fight. He’s still weak at a distance though.

(I do love a good challenge though)

It’s as if this is your first patch notes that significantly changed something…

It’s like this for any hero that got a major buff on a new patch for like a week.

By the end of the week, enough people will whine about Reaper and Blizz will nerf him to a worse state than he was before (this has been proven to be the case almost 70% of the time).

Yeah. He’s in a lot of games in plat and I’m not enjoying it tbh.

He’s just completely forgivable in these ranks now, more than he was before - and in high ranks, he’s still trash. :confused:

He’s insanely OP. This game really needs some heroes that can stun, sleep, boop, negate his healing, move away from him quickly, or one shot him or else there’s not going to be a way to deal with reaper.

No. Not really. I do not recall when the half a dozen Reapers that frequented the forums made fun of Symmetra… like, what were they making fun of? How Symmetra was somehow a better version of Reaper? Nah.

Reaper alone isn’t THAT bad but once you add a pocket mercy to the equation you have an unkillable edgelord that gets his ult in a fraction of a second while being harder to kill than a roadhog that has his self-heal on 0 cooldown.

The worst part is that once he gets nerfed, we’ll be left with a bunch of low-level players who destroyed lower-ranks and climbed on the basis of his buff alone, and they’ll be messing up the ELO for at least a freaking month until things re-normalize.

Reaper is like DPS Moira. It’s fun and effective in low rank, but you are getting better at something useless.

This patch has raised the rank at which Reaper can be effective, though. He’s now a menace in plat (at least plat level QP).

LMAO For the past half year DPS have had literally no place in the meta, go bring your “dpswatch” crap somewhere else.

Totally called it. He’s hardly seen in higher ranks and his buffs won’t stop GOATS. In lower ranks he makes life miserable. I wasn’t even able to have fun with Rein in FFA anymore because of his buffs.

But I’m still taking him out ez with one arrow to the head… so…

It’s kinda sad, actually. Even had a DF destroying the hell outta a three different Reapers.
