Archives Memory Leak

After the archives update, one of my friends had mentioned to me that they were experiencing a memory leak with overwatch and asked me if I was as well to figure out if it was their machine or if it was overwatch. So, I check and wowie was overwatch eating up all my memory. I havent seen any reporting on this issue anywhere, beyond hearing from all my friends that play ALSO having a memory leak. Repairing the client doesnt fix anything, hell one of my buddies even did multiple fresh installs and nothin. Nada. Nope. Still a problem. I can still play with relatively little problem, but a couple of my friends can’t due to the memory leak :<

So, does anyone know of a fix for it, aside from the usual repair or uninstall/reinstall? Is it just a portion of PC folks experiencing this issue? What is the Deal?

How much memory is Overwatch using when you look at the Task Manager?

The WORST of the problem for me went away when archives event was over, oddly enough, as during that event i couldnt really play because the game was that bad for myself, AND all of my friends I regularly play with. I cant remember how much it was up to way back when but currently its around 3 GB. all i remember is during that event i was hitting 99% memory usage and most of that was OW.
