Anyone else tired of the constant hero whining?

It doesn’t really matter who you play, they’re a brainless skilless hero and all of their abilities are unfair and unhealthy for the game. The forums have always been pretty bad, but now you see the same on reddit, twitter, youtube, and every other social media platform as well. And of course in-game.

It’s getting to the point where I’ve lost a lot of interest in the game. Sometimes I get excited about playing a hero only for people to crap all over them. I’ve played pretty much every hero and it happens to all of them.

Is this a common sentiment? Is anyone else sick of the constant negatively around the different heroes?

I’m tired of the expectation that all heroes should have above-average pickrate.

I’m tired of the expectation that “perfectly equal” is both possible, and therefore better than focusing on “ideal tierlist orders”.

I’m tired of using balance changes to “Shuffle the meta”.
(They should have a system for that, that’s in there for “The people who play the game so much that it rapidly loses novelty”.)

If you want to trigger ThiccBuddha, just cry about Reinhardt. It gets me every time. I know very few people enjoy embarrassing themselves to that extent. But I can guarantee it will work if you manage to find it within yourself to unlock your inner submissive.

Her name is Kiriko, OP. She’s been under a constant hate campaign from members of the Kiriko Komplainer Konsortium since literally day 1. They’re just misguided, lost, wrong and inconsequential souls though, so Kiri forgives them.

tired of the daily balance/matchmaking complaints that will never ever go away because neither thing is something that can actually be “fixed”

It’s especially annoying when people in your life are also constantly whining about the same few things. It makes you want to whine about that as well.
What especially grates however are those clear metal rank takes where they act like Moira has auto-aim or Torb turret is broken or similar trash. These topics aren’t even good, but it’s always those raking up 300 replies.

Sometimes I get excited to play overwatch and then I load it up play one game and remember that this game is a torture method :joy:

But for real, who gives a :poop: what heroes other people play you should just play what you want and stuff anyone who has a problem with it.

All the things I’m tired of seeing people whine about on forums

  1. 6v6 argument that it will fix everything and bring everyone back
  2. There is nothing but cheaters in game
  3. Dva being broke/op (she isnt)
  4. How Blizzard monetized their f2p game (they have always been greedy this shoudnt be a shock by now)
  5. People using the MM as an excuse why they lose games
  6. Crying about certain characters not having skins or having to many skins
  7. DPS players crying that Tanks and Support are to OP n broken n how they cant get picks off no matter what they choose
  8. The counter picking cringe
  9. Widows one shot (unpopular opinion but she aint that broken)
  10. Sombra issues
  11. Supports not healing enough
  12. Supports doing to much damage

But people will continue to cry

Blame blizzard for not getting rid of hard counters. It is the main reason why nobody can be pleased.

As someone who has mained Brig for years, I’ve grown numb to it. I still wish it wasn’t such a thing though. I don’t browse the other platforms for OW discussions, so I can’t give any opinion on the state of things elsewhere, but still

Agreed. the only time Blizzard “balances” a hero is when there is a change in that hero’s win/loss rate. Blizzard doesn’t listen/care about community experience when it comes to balancing. and, I don’t think it ever will.

excluding tanks, nearly all characters are nerfed into oblivion.
if characters are useless, ineffective, and boring to play, should
a standing ovation be expected. nerfs + rigging = exodus

plus let’s NOT ignore the pattern of mindlessness. characters start out fun to play upon initial introduction. THEN exceptionals pop off with character. THEN character gets nerfed into oblivion. so who is to blame? developers. for making characters initially fun to play then boring to play just bc some exceptional was exceptional. the current unstopability of all tanks irrefutably proves that day 1 brig and bap was correct and valid from inception.

I’m not sure how else to say this, but this has literally always been true. It was never just the forums that whined about heroes.

I like actually playing the game but then I browse here and end up getting sucked into dumb arguments

This is the one thing on your list I feel like we have to keep complaining about so that it doesn’t get worse. Because it can get worse. Otherwise I agree :100:
