That’s just naturally what happens when you are actually at your rank.
Unless its your job to play games I think they are always a waste of time. They are a time sink lol
Your problem is you’re focusing on the number.
Forget the number. Seriously.
Focus on having fun and remembering the fun!
Increasing the losses and gains won’t stop you from going back and forth if you are at your rank.
Do what I currently am doing. Play DVA until you fall so far you can actually use her.
Video games, in general, are a waste of time. But a hobby is a hobby.

Maybe learn a new character you’ve never really gotten into?
And it’s not wasting time, if you’re having fun. That’s kind of the whole reason to play anything, for me anyhow.
SR won’t get you anything. It won’t pay the bills, feed the cat, take out the garbage, make you more attractive, richer, or otherwise more well off. Chase it if it’s fun. Stop when it’s not is my thought.
Me, I consider myself lucky in that I found my ideal SR early on in the game. Bronze. So there is no need to struggle for more. These are my people, and I will heal them…aaaaafter I finish this game of Mayhem, and maybe feed the cat. Yea, definitely after the cat.
In the process i earn competitive points, so it’s not totally wasted. Right now i have 6000 points and i don’t really want anymore gold weapons since i only cared about Doom and Tracer. I wish they would make it possible to upgrade your weapons further or unlock competitive exclusive skins.
Eh to an extent. I play the game to waste time, and I don’t need progression to convince me to do so. I also like being able to enter every match without worrying about the last one or the next one.
