With the mix of OP spam characters, Toxicity and terrible match making with the nerf of my character too many times rendering him useless in almost any game (I’m a salty Genji One trick)
I’ve gotten back to playing Skyrim lol (Bethesda > Blizzard)
Now I’m having even less fun so no the game ain’t even fun no more
Same, it why I play other games. Open queue in arcade was my last try to squeeze any fun out of OW2 and it lasted like a week and that was it. Uninstalled. Playing Deep Rock Galactic, the PvE OW2 wishes they could match.
I’m set on just getting gold weapons to my two other mains and just quit for awhile. It always puts me in a bad mood and the toxicity is so bad I have to have chat off and that is unusual for me. I did cheer on the changes and accepted them but now I think this all was a mistake.
But we’ll see how they change in the future idk
No not really, the only way I seem to have any fun or decent matches is if I queue with a full stack of friends and even then it can be iffy because the matchmaking in unrated is horrendous. I’m honestly getting really tired of booting up the game and match after match is against GM/T500 players while my team is diamond at best. It’s frustrating because OW is the only FPS/PVP game I play and I’d hate to give it up.
The group of people I played with (that stuck with OW, even during the quiet years) left at the start of season 2. This was due to various reasons such as: battle pass/store greed, matchmaking being a mess, comp rank reset in S2 etc.
Well I’m perma’d but I’m having fun in the forums
Can you recommend me a simmilair game? Im getting fed up with OW2
compared to the game
the forums are a just more fun
I’m actually about to give this game a try! I’m downloading it now and I’m actually feeling giddy.
paladins is your closest game
Nope, no fun here
20 chars
No, my favourite hero got ruined so I stopped playing the game.
arcade, no limits, winton
basically, none of the “main” ways to play the game are fun
Gee whiz, that sounds exactly like the OW1 complaints that supposedly led to 5v5 OW2. Imbalanced comp games, OP tanks, well-known streamers with smurf accounts looking out for their own bottom line, etc. Sound familar?
I haven’t been playing OW for 3 weeks now and although I’ve thought about booting it up today, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I really felt like playing a few rounds, thinking that maybe today is a good day to get back to it but something tells me not to do it.
I loved this game. I really did. But the passion I had for everything that made this game great is slowly fading away. It’s nothing but frustration, unfun gameplay, horrible matchmaking and a $$$ thirsty company turning a blind eye to the really bad state OW2 is in. Breaks my heart to think about it but I have zero motivation to even play one single match. It just feels unrewarding and soulless.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll feel like giving it another try cos I still cling to that stupid notion that it’s not THAT bad or that things will eventually get better. Or maybe I’ll just play something else, more fun and meaningful, instead.
It’s never been this hard for me to let go of a game. But yeah, the fun seems to be gone for me since OW1 was shut down and replaced by this… mess.
well that’s what nerfs do. removes fun factor.
that’s what experimental 5v5 does. removes fun factor.
which is why players running 3 tanks in unranked properly
compensates for developer deviance.
Winning 7 matches but losing 5, having spent over an hour playing, and yet I still stay Diamond 2 on support is truly a dreadful experience.
Nothing about this new system is enjoyable or better than SR. The most pathetically ironic part about all of it is that their official reasoning for the change is that people apparently “felt like they hadn’t earnt anything when they lost a match” and “felt discouraged when they see their SR go down”.
Wow, it’s almost as if you’re not supposed to earn something from a loss, losing doesn’t mean you should get a participation award. Now instead of not earning anything from losing, Blizzard has made it so you don’t earn anything after hours of playing even if you win most of your matches.
I can’t imagine how. It’s not fun getting rolled, it’s not fun rolling and it’s not fun playing with people that have zero positional awareness, sub-20% accuracy and think it’s a race to get up and 1v5 the enemy team every spawn.
Even the most rudimentary matchmaker could separate new players from veterans based on hours played, or one key stat for a role. Even that would be better than the bs they currently have. Add even a few stat pieces based on the previous few weeks of play and it would be good enough. If they really wanted to go the extra mile they could use the positioning in relation to the player and their own team and the player and the enemy team to see if they are in the green, yellow or red zone. Red zone would indicate they are engaging multiple contacts solo, if this is a chronic thing for this player throw them on the bottom of the ranking. When they stop doing it for a few weeks it would look at other stats.
There are tons of things they could do to put people of relatively equal performance into the same matches. It’s not always going to work out since there are so many approaches and people have different skill levels with different roles/heroes, but it would be something. You can still throw one from a lower or higher bracket on each team as long as it’s even.
Nope.
All 10 of my friends who played for the first week haven’t been on since so i’ve had no reason to play.
They all feel “nothing changed in overwatch 2” and I kinda agree.
The new system is basically the old system doubled. The first system was bad and pathetically low effort, so it makes sense that this one is double bad.
