Any mouse recommendations?

If you’re arguing that wireless mice are better why did you give me 3 “valid reasons” of wired mice? I just assumed you meant wireless.

Logitech g502. best mouse that I’ve even held in my hands. not only is it good it’s also sleek, sexy and the LED lights look amazing on it

Do not blame me because you misinterpreted the post. Bui understand it perfectly and gave an additional reason why you might want to use wired.

I’m not arguing wireless > wired. It’s not about team A or team B, I don’t care about that crap. The point of the post was that the charging argument for team B was silly and I gave 3 valid reasons that could be argued instead.

It’s like if I said I don’t want to get the covid shot because the government injects it with nano spybots that will lower your IQ. Some Alex Jones eques conspiracy crap.

Whereas not getting the shot because you will have an allergic reaction to it IS a valid reason.

You played teams thinking I was anti-wired mice, which isn’t the case. That’s why you had the response that you did. If finalmouse’s prices weren’t inflated to the moon I’d probably be using that because for me it’s mostly about weight and shape.

Logitech G402 if on low budget , logitech G304 on med budget , Razer viper ultimate or Glorios model O wireless on higher budget

would not recommend G502 for FPS game its heavy , just try some light weight wireless mouse

You replied to me talking about why I prefer wired, then you disagree with me, and then in the same post give me 3 reasons why wired is better than wireless. Why?

The charging argument isn’t silly because it links to how much the mouse weighs and costs, as well as convenience.

When you say things like this -

It doesn’t sound like you are taking a neutral position.

This is the mouse I use.

It’s great if you have big hands. There’s no weights but it is on the heavy side for a mouse.

I grew up on console and I’ve got big hands and lack dexterity in my fingers. So keyboard hotkeys have always annoyed me. So I mapped all the extra buttons on the mouse to numpad keys and use those. All my hero abilities/ultimates are on my mouse and I turned Q into my Melee.

Before this mouse I used to have a logitech G5 which lasted me like 8-10 years.

The only issue I have with my Rival 500 is the left click double clicks pretty often now after like 5 years. But money is tight so I haven’t been able to get a new one.

Honestly, these days the difference between mice in the same price range isn’t super noticeable in terms of performance.

As long as their max DPI is high enough, and they have a decent polling rate it just comes down to preference. Just a matter of how many buttons you want, what size, shape and weight you like.

If you liked your mouse before you decided to merge gaming and the sports your mother is always asking you to go outside and play then I’d look for another one similar.

the argument between wired vs wireless is really pointless. It really depends on what you want from it. In terms of sensors performance, they are both similar and you can’t go wrong with either ones.

You just need to ask yourself a few questions:

  • do you want to deal with cables, and is there any interference at your workspace.
  • How do you feel about battery and charging if you’re going wireless. Will you stock up on batteries or use a wireless charging pad? Does the wireless mouse offer wired charging mode while in use.
  • The ergonomics shape of the mouse fit your hand size and grip style.
  • Do you prefer a lighter mouse or a heavier mouse.
  • Is RGB lightning important to you?

For me, i went for the light budget option, the G305. I personally prefer a heavier mouse such as the G502 but the wireless version is on the pricier side. But with all the peripherals on my desk, i have far too much cables, so I opt for wireless. I’ve used Razer mouse, i gave up on them since i hated their Razer Synapse software. Too slow when you constantly alt-tabbing while gaming, that the profile swapping never load in time. To be fair, alt-tabbing while gaming is more common playing MMOs than in an FPS games where you can’t risk missing anything happening in a competitive FPS game.

Your complaint about wireless mice was around charging. I didn’t ask you why you preferred wired. I asked you why using a wire to charge a wireless mouse was less convenient than using a wired one.

The common answer around this question is that “because it takes 2 seconds to plug in” which is a nonsensical answer, especially when the thing you’re advocating for is to use it WITH a wire.

So I gave you 3 not stupid reasons instead

You’re just repeating what I said after claiming wired mice have batteries in them.

No one in their right mind would sound neutral when the two sides are
A. Rat poison is healthy for the human body
B. You shouldn’t eat rat poison

If someone said I prefer wired mice because lighter, cheaper, can’t yeet it off the desk(all things I’ve said) I wouldn’t have an issue. Hell if I didn’t know anything about tech I probably wouldn’t have an issue, especially since this is just a fun harmless topic for most people. But I still wish people would stop using 2000 era arguments in 2021.

I wonder why people who complains about charging wireless mouse do not get a wireless charging mouse pad.

I use a razer viper ultimate, it can be both wired and wireless. Reasons I have this mouse is because it’s light, ambidextrous and suits my small hand (My hand is about 6 inches.

edit: Oh also forgot to mention it has a charging dock :sunglasses:

You should really think about the size, what you need (do you want a bunch of extra buttons or nah) do you want it to be wired/wireless (or both?) and so on. Like I’d shop for yourself and try and find something that’s perfect for your needs.

It’s not pointless. I believe wireless is a vastly superior choice and this is from 15 years of using wired gaming mice, going back to the Logitech G5. They now have the same response time as wired and there’s no bungee that I’ve used that comes close to no wire drag.

A lot of the semi-recent strictly wired mice are also going to be similar weight or heavier than wireless, despite the battery. That may change as time goes on, but right now I see no reason to go wired other than maybe cost. The G Pro Wireless is the best mouse I’ve used.

I wonder why people who charge their phones literally every day or fill up gas in their v8 every 5-6 days can’t be bothered to charge up a mouse for 15 minutes every week and a half.

my mouse comes with a dock so after I’m done I just place it on the dock to charge lol

not sure why people always act like wireless mice these days last 1 hr lol

I have G pro wireless and it can be wired and wireless but it’s a little pricey so if you don’t mind the wire I would say get a glorious model O or viper ultimate.

I have the cyberpunk version of the viper too. I use the dock since I also have the aerox 3 on my desk for shooters BUT the viper comes with a usb port for charging also.

yeah thats the mouse I have it’s great

My original comment to someone else was why I preferred wired.

I know I misread your post, but I’m saying it’s easy to misread when you first disagree with me, and then go to give me 3 reasons why my point is right?

They are more convenient when you don’t have to charge them, they are usually cheaper and usually lighter. However I read it as if you were arguing wireless mice were these things.

I’m not repeating what you said because I initially thought you said wireless mice were lighter and cheaper, which I disagreed with. And yes, if you have to charge a mouse it is going to be more expensive and weigh more, my initial point was having to charge the mouse and so this is what I mean by wired being more convenient.

If you’re going to give three reasons why you prefer one thing over another, starting it with “because you still live in 2007” doesn’t sound like you’re about to say something good.

I said I prefer wired mice because you don’t have to charge them and they are more convenient. By not having to charge something you don’t need a battery like you said, so it’s gonna weigh less.

We are literally arguing the same thing I just misread your initial point and thought you were arguing the opposite.

Latency is still an argument, while you’re not gonna notice a difference in high end mice it’s still important to know it can only ever be on the same level as wired, not better. And I don’t see why anyone would want something that weighs more.

G502s are for anchoring boats, bludgeoning home intruders, and doing dumb things with infinite scroll. It’s unsuitable for shooters.

GPX is the best mouse for people who can’t do their own research.

I main an xtrfy mz1, but that is a niche mouse.
